Nintendo Wii U: Ubisoft Has Two Brand New Exclusive Games For The Wii U

Ubisoft has just issued a press release stating that the company has two unnamed titles heading to the Wii U. The first game is a revolutionary first person shooter for the hardcore audience being developed exclusively for Nintendo Wii U and the second game is a multi-sports game for the whole family. Can’t wait to hear more about these games, especially the first person shooter. If it’s anything like Red Steel 2 then we should be in for a treat.

  1. What I really want to know, considering the very impressive graphics that are on par with (and in many cases I’ve seen just in tech demos and such, they exceed) current gen graphics, what kind of media does it use? We know it uses discs, but what is the storage capacity? It would have to be more than XBOX360’s current media to compete, as even XBOX360 is doubling the capacity of their current media storage discs to accommodate developers.

I love that you can presumably hook up any external HD to it and use that for game & media storage. I’ve been waiting for that for a long, long time on a console, but most just seem to want people to buy their own and use that. However, what is the extent of the current flash memory built in to the system?

    1. Nintendo hasn’t stated how much capacity the discs will hold, but they have said that there will be more than enough room for high definition games. They’re using high density optical discs.

  2. I really hope the wii u isn’t a dreamcast. You know, a really good system but it’ll only be out for a yr or 2 until the next BIG Revolutionary system drop. I do kinda like what I see so far but I am a bit skeptical as a Nintendo fan

    1. Well. Ps2 sold a lot because of the DVD-drive and how powerful it was. Two arguments that I don´t think hold true in 2013. But we will see.
If 50% buy it because they already own a Wii and have all the peripherals they have 40 million consoles sold there. If somebody who loves the latest in graphics and therefore own a ps360 but not a Wii, perhaps 2% of the ones owning a ps360 now, you got a million sold there. And so on.
But it all comes down to what games they can showcase during the first year.

  3. Someone might want to get a petition started getting Nintendo to make it to where you can use more than one tablet controller on a console at one time cause as of right now they don’t plan to and that’s going to suck.

  4. I’m getting it when it launches :) it would be cool if they let us use external hard drives. I can’t wait until more is unveiled. The controller at first didn’t wow me but when I heard what games are possibly coming to it, I screamed for joy. I love nintendo so I hope this system won’t be another dreamcast. I doubt it will because nintendo is getting a lot of 3rd party supports so I hope it lasts.
