Today is the day when anyone who purchased a Nintendo 3DS before the official price cut can claim their ten free NES games. There’s been some confusion as to how to get them. All you need to do is go to the Nintendo 3DS eShop and click ‘Settings/Other’ then scroll down to ‘Titles You’ve Downloaded’. Once you’ve done this scroll right down and you should see the ten free NES games. Enjoy!
Already got’em! What about the GBA ones, when are they due?
Nintendo has said that the GameBoy Advance games are due by the end of the year.
Any idea when? Halloween time or around Christmas time?
That’s what the Ambassador certificate is for, they are supposed to update when each title will be available. It probably won’t be all at once (but it could be).
Actual will they be sprea out from now till the end of the year?
I’ll just quote what it said in the press release I received today:
“Your trip down memory lane does not stop there, however, as ten further free Game Boy Advance™ games for Virtual Console™ will be made available for your Nintendo 3DS by the end of 2011.”

im in america so i got games yesterday and i already beat loz and i started metriod but am havin a bit of trouble

I’m heading the third temple rocking it with the hammer in LoZ 2, 4-5-5 levels (sword-magic-life).
They were definitely available yesterday (USA). I logged in at 7am and got 3 titles before leaving for work, got 3 more on the train ride there and the remaining 4 on the ride home.
Perhaps you didn’t go to the correct spot to download them.
I got my games yesterday as well; the games rock. But I have no idea how to play Wrecking Crew rofl
Have to destroy all the lockers, white stone walls, dark stone walls, and white crumbly ladders. You have to walk in front of each and use a button to smash it (ladder at the bottom). You can use bombs to help, and you basically just dodge the enemies (red & Purple dudes, and the Eggplant man). Spike gets annoying.

got them as soon as i check titles you have downloaded and now all i have to do is wait for the 10 free GBA games (I thinking same way for those as well)

You can download them from now on until the end of time; since they’re stored in your previous downloads, you can get them whenever.
How do i log onto eshop? I do not see it on my sons 3ds??? We have never downloaded games? Pls help?
There should be an icon for the eShop on the 3DS dashboard. I presume you’re connected to the Internet?
If you don’t have the eShop, then that means you’ve yet to update your 3DS to the latest firmware release. And should that be the case…you probably are not eligible for the Ambassador Program. You had to either update to the latest firmware or connect to the eShop before August 12th.
Have just got home from work checked my 3ds and am now happily downloading the games! Thanks nintendo :)
I def got my games early yesterday . no problems took all of 15 mins to get all 10. now i wish i had the gba games! Honestly metroid mario an zelda made my day. now if only they were 3d

I don’t think it matters when you download them. They will be in your ‘titles you’ve downloaded’ section
I just checked the Nintendo website- I qualify, but the games are not in my downloaded section. Do you have any idea why??

Would the fact that I bought my 3DS and set it up the day it came out, and I didn’t touch it again until August 20th make a difference??

LOZ, LOZ 2, Metroid, Mario- the only really great ones… But they kick ass!

Loving Mario Bros, the no-savegame concept makes it pretty addictive. They should use that in new games as well! :D
Did anyone else notice that the 3DS now has 120 slots on the menu as opposed to 60?
I got mine! I was surprised to find the Yoshi game is the one from my youth that I played endlessly and got super-good at…and now I stumble to make ten little Yoshis xD
