  1. Vicarious Visions are an AWESOME developer. One of the few that actually took the Wii seriously and actually tried to make decent games for it rather than just stick to weak ports and blame the system.

I know that people won’t believe this because the publisher was Activision, but the Guitar Hero series has always been treated far better on the Wii than Rock Band ever has, and it’s pretty much because of these guys.

I look forward to anything they might be working on for the Wii U. Here’s hoping that Project Nova might be a new Guitar Hero game. Yes, I really did just say that and I’m not ashamed even though I’ll get a lot of hate thrown my way. Why pretend that I don’t want to play a new game from a series that brings me tons of joy?

      1. ya it got alot of hate but my thing for guitar hero was always challenge, and warriors of rock really brought the gh3 felling back with dragonforce and the megadeth songs

    1. ^ I think this is the most stupid comment i’ve wrote.

Really, I didn’t spell developers correctly at all and… It looks like a 4 year old wrote it. I’m not 4 years old, so don’t think i’m 4 alright.

  3. Wait, but Activisions Killed Guitar Hero, that’s why DJ Hero 3DS is dead as well, how come they are going to make another one?

    1. There’s been a lot of confusion over this, not helped by how Activision handled it and also the Internet’s response. Basically the Guitar Hero series didn’t “die”, it has simply been put on hiatus for now with its future currently being unknown. Activision have clarified that they simply didn’t want to make a game THIS year, and are giving the series a break while they look at what they want to do, if anything. You can still buy the games, still register and download imports and DLC. The forum, facebook and twitter pages are still completely active.

Activision renewed their contract with FreeStyle Games (DJ Hero developers) and obviously from this article you can gather that Vicarious Visions still work for them. Chances are you might see a new Guitar Hero next autumn. Here’s hoping we do.

      1. But why they don’t make anymore new DLC, and why they cancelled DJ Hero 3DS?
        It doesn’t make any sense.
