Nintendo of America has posted an official translation of Shigeru Miyamoto’s The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword presentation from this years Tokyo Games Show. Miyamoto claims in the video that he “can’t imagine controlling a sword with buttons” anymore.

I wonder how the WiiU version will be like then…
WiiU still uses WiiRemotes too. Who knows?
i kinda hope not. well see how much well need to have one to one control with the sword after playing this game, but i want the main attraction of zelda wii u to be the extra screen
I completely agree with what miyamoto said. I don’t want to go back to controllers.
However what I would accept is if there are 2 Zelda games. A cartoony one that utilises the pad (we’ve already got SS that uses M+) then a more realistic Zelda (like oot & tp) that uses M+. I’d be satisfied.
I don’t think controllers should be forgotten. It’d be good to have a mix of both. Not everyone wants to be stood up swinging a wii remote around all the time they wanna play zelda. Some wanna just lay back, put their feet on the coffee table and play in their vest and underwear :P
yeah, Fighting games without controllers would totally destroy them.
But I agree that for this kind of game could work.
Nintendo truly is the most innovative developer in the video game industry. Nobody does it like Nintendo. I bet this will turn out to be game of the year.
Oh god, I want this Master Sword and Hylian Shield.
Miyamoto is simply a genius person, he made the best games ever. I love him *-*
Aw, I thought he put the motion plus in that master sword. On the upside, I’m buying this. The day it comes out.
BEEEEEDLE!!!!!!
Master Sword and Hylian Shield *-* That will be my next acquisition ^^
