Nintendo Europe has put up a listing for Luigi’s Mansion 2 which includes plenty of details regarding what players should expect from the game. The interesting thing about it is that they’ve listed the game as a one to two players but they don’t provide any more specific details other than that. Would would you like to see from a two player Luigi’s Mansion?

Well no, it’s Luigi’s mansion and it isn’t the first Luigi’s mansion so he’s not stepping out of his shadow…
Personally I doubt they’d have Mario as a second player, but obviously I’m just saying that and don’t know for sure.
Most likely Mario as a second player would be played alongside Luigi in the missions that Luigi has to accomplish, I would recommend if Mario gets captured again and you save him at some point in the game before he can be played as a second player. As each mansion will be considered a mission, and you can aim for a higher score each time you choose the mission, completely different from the first in some ways.

What I’d like to see with this two player is perhaps a co-op through the entire title with a competition on who collects the most coins or ghosts. Sort of like how Zelda Four Swords is with the rupees and force gems, but ultimately you’re still progressing through the level/mansion.

If his from australia all he has to do is play Router Roulette, we all have dynamic IPs that change every time we turn our router off/disconnect it.

I only played the original once, and that was more of a demo. Still, it’s always good when Luigi gets his time to shine, and two players seems cool.
I feel like we’re gonna have to start banning all the people asking to ban the trollz. :S Let Sickr handle his website, we’re all kinda getting bossy. BUT ANYWAYS, coop in this game sounds interesting. Can’t really see it working, but I didn’t see multiplayer in New Super Mario Bros. working… so I have all faith it will be enjoyable.

That sounds interesting, I’m curious how it’ll work. My boyfriend hates that I took Super Mario 3D Land first! It’ll be cool if it lets you play through the entire game with a friend, but it’s probably some random multiplayer feature.

Im pretty sure Mario isn’t player two. Mario doesn’t do number 2. I do think it’s a Toad, since we’ve been informed that a Toad is assisting Luigi
The idea of a Toad as a second player makes sense. But I think they should be more creative: how about a helping robot, with the shape of Professor E. Gadd, that helps Luigi vaccum the ghosts?

It’s probably like a hide and seek thing. One player is Luigi, the other is a ghost and if they come across each other Luigi wins. Actually that sounds better as a multiplayer (3 player, 4 player) than just regular two players.

This is awesome. Hope it’s proper co-op and you can play through the whole main adventure with two players (I hated the lame attempts at multiplayer modes in Mario 64 DS and the original New Super Mario Bros).
