Famed Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter has explained to Industry Gamers how he believes Nintendo will sustain consumers interest for the Nintendo 3DS throughout 2012. Pachter believes that Nintendo first party line-up for the console during 2012 is superb but the company desperately needs to announce a major first party retail release for February or March.
“All Nintendo has to do is provide software support. It’s already announced lineup is stellar, but we don’t have dates. It would help immensely if they would get a few out in February or March.”

His job is projection, so he says what makes the most sense, betting with the odds. He won’t advise people to invest in Nintendo if all signs point to a steady decline over the next year.
