This weeks Japanese hardware and software charts are in courtesy of Media Create and they once again show that the Nintendo 3DS continues to be the dominant force in Japan. The PlayStation Vita fared poorly this week only managing to muster 10, 302 sales, whereas the Nintendo 3DS sold an impressive 94, 011 units. On the software side of things Kid Icarus: Uprising reigned supreme at the number one spot. Here’s the Japanese software and Japanese hardware charts:

I’ve just bought Kid Icarus yesterday. I wasn’t really convinced on this title, but all the positive reviews made me take the right decision. I’TS AN OUTSTANDING TITLE!!! Quite enjoyable, and the base for the 3DS it’s not gimmikry, but it’s actual quite useful and not too large as I thought!
Playing in the bus without it, it’s a good experience too! The control scheme doesn’t hurt my wrist as I thougt! The graphics, humor, gameplay, voice acting, even the menus are quite outstanding!
I thought I wouldn’t change “Mario Kart 7” as my Favorite Title, but this one certainly has the title from now on =D

Controls were tricky at first, now I love them… I think it’s safe to say, this is a next Gen control scheme.

Umm… Microsoft made Kinectimals and Kinect sports which are for kids.
Also Rachet and Clank for Playstation is primarly aimed at kids.
Also Mature games Nintendo published have been: Xenoblades, Metroid, Conkers Bad Fur Day and many more.
Every console you find will have a kids game… it’s just because companies find gaps in market where there are not enough of that sort of stuff.

Alright Kid Icarus!!! I hope this game will convince Nintendo to make Kid Icarus games more frequently. Also I love how the 3DS is doing great on the handheld market. Those developers better be lining up at E3 this year.
Congrats to Nintendo, Kid Icarus Uprising is a good game and deserves this success. Not that I was surprised by the 3DS outselling the PSP Vita by miles given the games the former has.
