Yoshinori Ono Says He’s Staying At Capcom Until They Fire Him

Famed Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Oni has taken to Twitter to tell fans that he isn’t leaving the Capcom until the company fires him. Oni was recently taken to hospital and is currently recovering. Capcom has stated that they’ve brought in a replacement until Ono gets better.

Hahaha yeah! I’m staying when Capcom say me “fire!” until. RT @Traptrox:Plz Don’t Leave I Wish U Make a New Power Stone and Darkstalkers.

  1. I don’t think Capcom will be firing this guy anytime soon, unless his health takes a turn for the worse, which I hope doesn’t happen.

    Leave luck to heaven.

  3. Why do you keep misspelling his name as Oni lol

I think the guy has made way too much money for Capcom for him to be fired, if he ever leaves it’ll be because he chose to leave.

  4. Hmm. This whole things reeks of alcoholism. It follows all of the patterns & there is a percentage of Japanese businessmen that are serious functioning alcoholics. Drinking is very common in Japan as a part of every day lives & a lot of business meetings also take place over drinks. It’s just that most people know when to stop & some unfortunately do not. NOT that I hope anyone should ever suffer from this, but the signs are there that’s for sure. The collapse & “hospitalization”. The description of his physical condition. And how the company is handling the situation with the press. He’s in rehab in Japan is my guess.

Or maybe he WAS just “really tired”.
