Grand Theft Auto 5 Could Release In October Says Analyst

Earlier today it was announced that Bioshock Infinite has been delayed until February 2013, possibly paving the way for Rockstar to release its highly anticipated next instalment of the Grand Theft Auto franchise Grand Theft Auto V. Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter believes that the delay wasn’t a chance occurrence, but that Rockstar alerted the publisher that Grand Theft Auto V would be ready by October so Take Two decided to delay Bioshock Infinite. We should find out for sure at E3 next month.

  1. Why is this even being reported on here though? There are tons of promising looking upcoming games, many of which aren’t going to be on a Nintendo console. This ain’t “Nintendo news”

    1. Because until it is announced that it is NOT supported, then it COULD be “Nintendo News”. GTA has been on the DS, who is to say it won’t be on the Wii U? Nintendo wants the core audience back, this game could help bring them back (if Nintendo will allow/ask them to put it on their console)

  2. ohmanohmanohmanohmanohmanohman!!!!! If this game gonna be avaible for the Wii U, well TAKE MY MONEY NINTENDO!!!

  3. Nintendo NEEDS this game on the Wii U. It would certainly make a lot of “hardcore” gamers take notice of Nintendo’s new console. It could a major system seller for Nintendo and Rockstar. Leave luck to heaven.

    1. You make it sound like Nintendo must rely on GTA to warrant a successful launch. There are other games that are just as “hardcore” for the “hardcore” gamers to take notice of the Wii U. While GTA V may be the more accessible and easily identifiable, in terms of “hardcore” popularity”, it’s not just the only system seller.

      1. I’m not saying the Wii U has to rely on GTA. It’s just that GTA has a reputation as a very adult series so having it on a Nintendo platform can help do away with the false reputation Nintendo has as a kiddie gaming company.
