The Nintendo 3DS XL is being sold in Europe without an AC Adapter or a Charging Cradle; if buyers of Nintendo’s latest handheld don’t have one, they need to purchase an AC Adapter to charge their system. A Nintendo 3DS XL Charging Cradle that is bundled with an AC Adapter will be available for purchase in retailers across Europe starting August 24th. You can pre-order the bundle from Amazon here.

So you can just lay the handheld onto the cradle and not have to plug anything into the 3DS in order for it to charge.
What the point in that, its goin to he laying down anyway. Its not i have to balance it on it side to charge it normally

What I want is a special edition 3DS XL…
I just hate the 3DS XL design, the rounded corners and everything always make me think of the original DS when I see 3DS XL. They should’ve gone with more DSi type of look, I would’ve liked that a lot more.
The only thing that could save 3DS XL from looking awful is the coloring. And the color choices aren’t that great either… It’s cool that they tried a bit different colors but then again… No.
I really want to buy a 3DS XL but the bad design and poor color choices bother me too much. Maybe they will one day publish some sort of special edition of 3DS XL, like they had with Mario and DSi XL and also Zelda and 3DS. If it has cool-enough pictures on the top, even I can forgive the faulty design…

Okay, in all seriousness, id say get a WiiU first, you got plently of time to save up, get a bunch of games, then get a 3DS in the first quarter of next year, that when gMes like Paper Mario, Luigis Mansion and Castlevania are gona show up
