Here’s What The Wii U Packaging Looks Like

Nintendo of America has released an image of the official packaging for Wii U which will appear on store shelves on November 18th. As was discussed at the New York Wii U conference the Wii U will be available in two bundles. The Basic package is 8GB and will retail for $299.99, and then there’s the Premium 32GB console which retails for $349.99.

Thanks, Chris

  1. Leave Luck to Heaven.
    How Will U Play?
    Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!

Okay the last one isn’t a Nintendo slogan but today, especially Nintendo TVii, has renewed my faith in Wii U… not that I ever lost it mind you, I meant losing faith that no-one else had faith or… forget it…

        1. if it’s just a small cd in a thin cardboard “box” like wii sports had, it doesn’t take THAT much space… they should have put it between the manuals.

    1. STOP YELLING AND WHY DO YOU THINK THE WHITE ONE WILL BE FULL? IT WILL HAVE MORE SPACE THATS WHERE THE DELUXE FILLS UP THE REST

      1. umm, it doesn’t need to be that way, i have a 500GB HDD in my laptop and it is smaller than the 250GB HDD from my school laptop.
size doesn’t matter in this present…

              1. I didn’t really answer your question sorry. The stand is just a place to put your wiiu game pad. Like the KI:U 3ds stand, and the charging cradle is basiclly like how nintendo did it with the 3ds, but for the wii u. Hope that helps.

    1. As well as 32GB storage instead of 8GB, charger stand for games like Pikmin 3 for the map ect, and 10% of digital downloads forever. Good deal if you ask me.

  2. I said Wii U was gonna suck. It was gonna be too high. It was gonna have a sorry launch. Now, I’m having a second opinion. I’m actually impressed.

    1. me too, but nintendo is boring me a bit since 3ds… it’s everytime the same. mario bros, mario (3d super mega ultra version), legend of zelda , some sonic, etc, etc, etc… perhaps a more creative game from a smaller game dev studio (like little king’s story) but no much more. this year i will probably go for the OUYA. since it’s the most open and cheap console until now. don’t take me wrong, i just wanna try some other style of game consoles cuz until now all i have is nintendo.

  3. BUYING THE DELUXE MODEL, SELLING NINTENDO LAND FOR $50 ON EBAY, AND THEN BUYING BLACK OPS 2. AND MAN IM SOOOO EXCITED THAT MONSTER HUNTER 3 IS COMING TOO IN MARCH! :D

  4. I do like that the different sets are color coded, although I would’ve preferred the white set to be premium. Oh well; here’s hoping we get a blue Wii U variant soon for premium, and I suppose a yellow non-premium variant to go with it (box template match).

  5. definitely going for the deluxe package. i remember being extremely disappointed with 8GB on an iPod touch, and i’m not going to repeat that part of my history.

  6. Already in eBay for $750 for deluxe. Are there limited amounts of reserves? Does anyone know if GameStop will stop taking reservations? If they are I’ll go reserve tomorrow morning. Also is there a limit to how many?
