Gateway, the team that has developed the first Nintendo 3DS flashcart, has confirmed via email that it has been blocked by the latest Nintendo 3DS firmware update. The flashcart is not compatible with firmware v6.x, but the team say they are hard at work on making it work as soon as possible. The company advises Nintendo 3DS users not to update their systems until they have got the flashcart working again.

It was fucking shovelware. Every single encounter in the game was pointless and the grinding of stickeres was tedious and made me want to shoot my brains out. I felt like i was forcing myself to play it. The dialogue was exaggerated to the extent where it wasn’t even funny and there was no real story, which is what makes paper mario good.

Not going to lie. I use one, but for the DS games, with the idea of getting those games that either are too expensive to get via Amazon or just missed them. I would never get one game this way that is still relevant.
The best example I can give is with The World Ends With You. I wanted to get that game, but never found a copy, so I eventually got the file years after the release of the game.

Yeah, i agree. I had to re-buy my 3ds cuz it was apparently an American version, which i noticed when i bought the European version of Mario in 3d Land. I got the american version with 2 3ds games sold, though, which gave me a loss of about 40 euro’s.
With the american version i bought, I got also a R4 card and a cd with games for the dsi with it, which i only kept the R4. Although I agree with the piracy stuff, I do it myself and it’s easy, fast, free and most important for me, is that you can hold many games in just 1 card. I even have games on it that I actually bought.
I like the idea that you can download the games now on the E-shop, although I haven’t bought anything yet cuz i can’t find the E-cards yet xD

At least with used game sales the developers actually got money from the original sale of the game. With piracy, they don’t get anything but headaches. What irks me about pirates is that they rely on the goodwill of people who actually buy the software to continue getting their games. I just wanted to state my thoughts from seeing Gateway’s revealed working Flashcards of the 3DS and don’t even give me any BS rants or trolling comments so be warned: You’ll look like an anti-Nintendo idiot or just some 11 year old trolling nutjob with nothing better to do with his/her time besides masturbating to the likes of stupid overrates like Justin Bieber and you’ll be ignored by me so bother wasting your time.
Anyway, when I last saw Gateway’s Flashcard operating on the 3DS platform last month, I thought it would be very useful as a storage booster that doubles the memory capacity of the 3DS. Imagine having two 64GB on one device which equals 128GB of memory or two 128GB equaling 256GB. That right there will hold shitloads of games, media and digital contents for a while. :) Although I must be fair on the piracy side which its Nintendo’s worst enemy next to Sony. I understand old Flashcards before have been designed to exploit games and being shared everywhere which impacts a big hit on their revenues. But the way I see how Nintendo did the whole region/system/account lock on games internationally, I don’t see how the current Flashcards poses a threat to unlock those games unless they do somehow and I have no knowledge of that so if its true then forgive me on that part.
Like I said, if the games are locked via region/system and if the Flashcards don’t unlock them or having difficulty in a way upon using when downloading games, how is it posing a threat at all if you can’t even migrate/read downloads in another 3DS via SD cards without system transfer? If only Flashcards works solely as a memory booster or if Nintendo can design their own 3DS Micro SD cartridge add-on, then there wouldn’t be much of a problem (that right here should be a smart way to greatly suppress piracy flashcards: Beat them at their own game) Besides, piracy is always gonna happen no matter what. Its like fighting cancer: There’s only a miracle chance to permanently defeat such a disease.
