New Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze Trailer Highlights Dixie Kong

Nintendo of America has released a brand new trailer for the sublime Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. The gorgeous trailer features an abundance of platforming action and also stars the adorable Dixie Kong. Sadly, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze has been delayed from November 2013 to February 2014. What do you think to the trailer?

Thanks, Svenson and Hairy Ballt

    1. It looks suspicious, actually… Several trolls use to tip Nintendo news to MNN… And then Sickr came up days ago saying that he doesn’t have time to monkey business when someone said that he and Iceazama were the same person…

How many of you remember the number of tips that Aeolus used to give? A lot. Where is Aeolus now? Nobody knows. In summary, the fact is that there is always at least one big troll surrounding MNN, who uses to tip several news.

Sometimes I wonder that the bloggers want to make the commentary section a mess in order to increase the number of visits.

                1. I’ve tried to understand Einstein’s Twins Paradox a number of times but I could not.

If I was able to do that, maybe I could better deal with aging, hair loss, wrinkles, gain of lipid mass, etc.

                  1. All the physics in the world cannot change your mind though unfortunately…

Unless someone or something erases it…

      1. Wiimote…..noooooooooooooooo!!! Nothing in the game looks new, so why no metroid??? Not a hater, just a gamer

      1. Dude, I hated the stupid motion controls in that game. The rolling was sooo frustrating. Totally agree with you (aside from the 3DS part, as I don’t own one and can’t speak to it).

  1. Aesthetically speaking, I don´t like the design of Dixie Kong, but I am delighted to see her again in a platform game.

I just hope that she is differs enough from the other characters and not just a clone of Diddy.

    1. In our empire, we support first and most, Pokemon…

Not Digimons, Chinpokomons, Karabons or any other Bogomons…

  2. Lovely trailer!

    This game will be awesome!

And regarding the soundtrack, I just loved the trumpet-based (or sax-based, or horn-based, or whatever-based) melody. Seem that David Wise is doing a good job alongside Kenji Yamamoto.

      1. The music – in my opinion – will be far superior – compared to DKCR – now that Mr. Wise joined the team. The song in the trailer gives us glimpses of the good things that are on the way!

  3. The release of this second trailer has helped flesh the game out, but hasn’t given too much (unlike Sonic: Lost World’s over-abundance of trailers, which have worn out there welcome). I can’t wait for the game, and I’m glad it’ll have more time to be polished.

^Reading that last sentence literally, I sound very self-contradictory.

  4. Dixie Kong for Super Smash Bros. 4!!! Also, I just got my Legend of Zelda Wind Waker Bundled with Ganodorf Figurine in the mail a minute ago!!! I am super excited right now! I get to experience Wind Waker for the first time EVER!!!!! :D

      1. No way. 3rd parties don’t get more than one rep, plus if anyone WERE getting another rep, it would be SEGA and the character would be Tails the Fox, because it makes the most sense. Tails is the Luigi to Sonic.

      2. No more 3rd party characters period. Mr. Sakurai doesn’t want attention stolen from the Nintendo characters.

        1. If these lesser forces wants their characters to be in our sacred games…

They must submit totally to our empire and beg for it…

    1. Alongside the 80’s, the golden era of gaming.

Also, the world used to be much, much better, safer, happier, easier and etc during that time… :(

  5. PSU(Playstations+WiiU)

Damn why the fuck couldnt this had cojme out the same month when Super mario 3d world comes out…..It woulda been a blast playing both during Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays…smh @ nintendo man y’all fucking up

  6. So… My question is somehow answered:
Will I be able to switch monkeys? Seems to.
Or is it only possible to use both of them in two player cooperative?

That is my only and important question.

If I can switch monkeys, day one purchase.
If not… buying it used ages later.

  7. Can Nintendo only make sidescrollers/ running style games for Wii U? Don’t get me wrong, this game looks fun and I will play it but what happened to the 3D style adventure games? Remember Super Mario 64, jumping through painting and exploring the 3D world inside of it. Or running around the outside of the castle. What about Donkey Kong 64? 3D flying with Diddy’s jetpack shooting up baddies with his peanut pistols. Those were real games. DK Tropic Breeze, Super Mario Bros U, Sonic Lost World, etc all feel like sidescrollers I can download on my phone.

    1. So much stupid in one comment and all of those games are completely 3D, one of them just happens to be in a 2.5D viewpoint most of the time. Even then they have sections that are in a 3D viewpoint.

  8. LOL at people complaining about at the rocket barrels sections. If you were good at the game, then there would be no problem. Also waggle controls isn’t terrible, you just suck. A simple movement of the controller is not going to kill you, unless you have parkinsons disease.
