The pre-load for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on the Nintendo Switch 2 is starting to roll out and you are going to need to have lots of space available as it is 90.3GB. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade also has a hefty file-size on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, so this isn’t massively surprising. Still, you will probably want to delete it once you’re done with it to free up some space.

The comparrison is for 2 ports of older games to new hardware one doing very well given other third party ports of old games PS5/PS4 have not done as well on Switch 2 but go ahead be a dbag. No one got technical into the direct audiences if we go that route for sure it will flop then. Most the FF7 crowd played it on PS and only buy again on PC to play the best looking version of the remakes so even less will buy than SF6 on Switch 2 which I am shocked that did 2 million if it actually did that saw somewhere else say 1.5 million so even less.
The age of people attached to this stuff is 40 not 20. They did not get the younger demo so I see it trending downwards same with TV and film. Gen Z was ignored for too long and the younger half of them have no attachment to this stuff they grew up on the internet fully and with Fortnite, Gen Alpha will be worse having no idea what this stuff is and no care.
I feel if Square went in with Kingdom Hearts games as they did with Final Fantasy they would be in a better place also appealed to the younger demo it just needed to happen then, now it feels too late. Gen Z is approaching 30 and unlike Gen Y will not sit by patiently to be catered towards, they move on. Hollywood didn’t cater to them they found anime and the internet.

FF16 flopped on Xbox. Forget if it came out on Switch 2? FF7 people mostly buy the game on PS to play it as soon as possible then buy again on PC for the best looking version of the remakes and that’s a fraction of the PS crowd even less buy it elsewhere like Xbox and this is focusing on initial release at stock price. Most large unit increases sold is after discounts. Also that’s not counting bugs. Curious if this will run well on Switch 2 or look good enough for people.
FF and Square’s audiences the average age is like 43 for consumers I honestly assume that is the average age of most the people buying these kinds of games no Fortnite, Roblox, etc. 2K and Madden may have some younger people but not these and it limits their audience.

Square has had nothing but flops and these same people claiming 14 is some big success also covered for 16 and Forespoken also remember reports saying FF7 Rebirth sold half of what remake sold so that is also not good with outlets saying it underperformed. They covered and dedfended all of those now have to come to the conclusion Square put out flops when they said otherwise. GOTG they defended that too also flopped, Outriders, the last Life Is Strange, Stranger In Paradise, Foamstars, Valkyrie, Babylons Fall, it wasn’t just Balan Wonderworld and Avengers like they try to claim even before that games like Deus Ex, Tomb Raider, Hitman, Thief, were all failing to meet expectations. I love Sleeping Dogs but that didn’t cut it either and took years for it to have a following.
They sold Eidos and IO so hopefully they can sell someone who will do it right the Sleeping Dogs IP.

I think their manga division does better and they do other financial things in Japan like Konami does. Their manga getting adapted into anime helps them too. The creator of FMA has a new series from Square’s manga division getting an anime.
I want 15 on Switch 2 also let Nomura make Versus 13. Sleeping Dogs needs a port or remake too no changes just better graphics and maybe GTA wheel for weapons.
You can always get a 1tb micro SD express which is an investment, Lexar is currently the only one with that capacity and Game Stop which I believe is a rebrand of Lexar. I ended up buying 2 though the second one was in sale.
