There were some folks celebrating just a few days ago that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade was 40fps on the Nintendo Switch 2. Now it has now emerged from Square Enix themselves that this isn’t the case and that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on Switch 2 is capped at a slower 30fps. I suspect that Square Enix saw the mention of 40fps circulating the web and wanted to set the rumour straight. A release date for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade hasn’t been announced but it is coming this year.

Yes and no. I believe the report came from the demo they had been showing. That was what was running at 40fps. It was said to be running in “performance” mode, but again, it was just the demo.
And it was SE employees on the floor saying that. Not an actual statement from the development team.
They reported its going to run on 40FPS on Nintendo Switch 2 but it says 30FPS on the platform? What really happen?
I won’t buy any game that runs at 30fps, especially in 2025.
