Square Enix confirms Final Fantasy VII Remake is 30fps on Nintendo Switch 2

There were some folks celebrating just a few days ago that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade was 40fps on the Nintendo Switch 2. Now it has now emerged from Square Enix themselves that this isn’t the case and that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on Switch 2 is capped at a slower 30fps. I suspect that Square Enix saw the mention of 40fps circulating the web and wanted to set the rumour straight. A release date for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade hasn’t been announced but it is coming this year.

    1. Yes and no. I believe the report came from the demo they had been showing. That was what was running at 40fps. It was said to be running in “performance” mode, but again, it was just the demo.

And it was SE employees on the floor saying that. Not an actual statement from the development team.

  1. F this fanbase and Max Dood who wants KH fans to suffer. Sick people just awful hope part 3 tanks! KH games never took this long between entries only 3. When Square goes under blame him.
