Tsunekazu Ishihara, the president of the Pokémon Company, will apparently showcase an unprecedented Pokemon game which apparently begun development this summer. The game is said to change Pikachu, and Ishihara is ultimately worried that this change will affect Pikachu’s popularity. Japanese fans have already begun speculating that the change may be Mega Pikachu. Speculation is also rife that the game in question will be compatible with Pokemon X & Y, and Pikachu’s change could be carried over to these games.

Thanks, Adam

  1. A rat life simulation game.
See pikachu move trough walls and search in trash cans then he enters a kitchen to cook delicious meals.

  2. I don’t understand how they are getting Mega Pikachu out of this? It says its a GAME that’s been IN DEVELOPMENT since summer.. If it were something like Mega Pikachu, I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t take so long to develop it.. Furthermore, it says its a GAME! Maybe it’s gonna be Pikachu’s own venture into the adventure/rpg genre where Pikachu encounters all kinds of Pokemons? Who knows.. But in 20 days we shall be informed!! I guess we have some delicious news to look for til November’s Nintendo Direct ;)

  3. Can we please not have another Hey You Pikachu/Pokemon Channel game please? If it was an adventure game with Pikachu like Kingdom Hearts, then I would love it.

  4. My guess is that Pikachu is going to talk and interact with you in this new game. Idk, the quote says “add boldly to the character of Pikachu.” What could that mean?

    • Yes, please. Throw in a more advanced version of PBR’s character builder and I’d buy it Day 1.

I wonder if this has anything to do with that Pokken trademark…?

  6. Shigeru’s unannounced new franchise, Next Level’s top secret Wii U game, Retro’s next project (DKTF development ends on February, maybe a part of their original studio plus their new hired memebers; one that previously worked with Naughty on U3, claiming it will be his ‘crowning achievement’?), I.D Wii U game (even if it might be SMT X FE, the crossover is still shrouded in complete mystery aside from the name), and now an ‘unprecedented’ Pokemon game? The Wii U is really beginning to be quite the looker. ;)
