  1. I may grab a 2DS someday for my collection. This will likely continue to drop or be part of bundles.

If I had a young kid, I would get them this, just because I replace my screen every 5 months due to the upper screen of my 3DS getting scratched. :/

    1. Is it possible to replace the 3DS upper screen? I mean, of course it is, but how expensive is to do that?

I’d like to upgrade to an XL, but I’m not sure yet.

        1. Hey, Commander!

          How is it going?

Yeah, seems that the grip of the XL version is pretty much better than the grip of the original 3DS. Of course, we also have a 90% larger screen.

But… With that money I can buy almost 4 Wii U games (full price), or almost 6 3DS games (full price as well)…

          That’s why I’m at strife.

          1. I’d recommend swapping out to the XL, not forgetting tio perform a system transfer when you take it back to your home (because that needs an internet connection).

The XL is honestly the absolute best handheld I have ever had and I can say that with confidence. It’s worth difference in money because it pretty much improves everything about the original 3DS without changing the core of the system.

    2. Whoa dude, every 5 months? Holy crap! I’ve never replaced the screen on my launch 3DS, and it doesn’t have a scratch on it. I don’t have a screen protector on it, either. Do you happen to still have the thin foam slice that came in-between the two halves out of the box? I just stick that back in every time I close it.

    1. Most uncomfortable game system I’ve ever played on and I own a Virtual Boy. The button placement is really awkward and the fact that the screen doesn’t bend makes certain games more annoying. Traded it in yesterday for a normal 3DS.

  2. Cool. This should entice people further on getting a 2DS. I myself am planning on getting an all-black 3DS XL. It’s the ultimate 3DS experience.
