Nintendo is launching a new Wii U Deluxe Set that puts the focus on value, and highlights the two biggest names in video games: Mario and his brother, Luigi. Available in stores on Nov. 1, the Wii U Deluxe model will come with two games – New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U – all on one disc. The new configuration will sell at the low suggested retail price of $299.99, and replaces the existing Wii U Deluxe Set, which included Nintendo Land. For fans who want to experience the uproarious fun of Nintendo Land, the game can still be purchased separately in stores and as a download in the Nintendo eShop at a new low suggested retail price of $29.99, also beginning Nov. 1.

The beautiful, limited-edition Wii U Deluxe bundle that comes with a download code for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, a gorgeous GamePad controller adorned with art inspired by The Legend of Zelda series and a download code for a digital copy of Hyrule Historia is also still available at a suggested retail price of $299.99 while supplies last.

“Mario and Luigi are two of the biggest heroes in video games,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “This new Wii U configuration gives people instant access to not one, but two of the most well-received Wii U games. It’s another example of the tremendous value and variety that Nintendo is offering consumers this holiday season.”

New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U are two of the best games on Wii U. The games offer players two separate platforming adventures – one starring Mario and one starring Luigi – each filled with dozens of creative levels. Both Mario and Luigi control differently, giving each game a distinct feel and challenge. Both games showcase the refreshing originality and game play that can only be found on Nintendo systems.

        1. Well 95% of the time unless some western tribe develops a Nintendo game…

But since we have our home base there it’s no surprise…

    1. I am totally pissed off!! If I knew Nintendo was bringing a SMB-U + Luigi U bundle to America I would’ve waited to get it instead of the Zelda Bundle. Talk about a total Rip!!!!!

            1. Mr. Lesbian nobody cares about your childish ass trolling bruh. Your only proving that you’re letting a piece of plastic own your weak ass mind…smh. It must be nice

          1. The comment above is completely right. Power doesn’t mean anything. In fact what does it mean by generation. It’s a games console that allows us to play games and have fun. All this generation talk really is quite pathetic. Wii U is next gen whether you like it or not. It’s the successor to Wii and that was 7th gen. Why do people care about graphics and power for? That means nothing

              1. Well they don’t to be honest. I have never bought a video game console simply for graphics. I buy games consoles because the games are designed and made really well. If you are buying games because they look pretty, then there is something wrong with you.

              2. The reason he upraised from a Wii to Wii U is most likely because it’s going to be getting all the new Nintenfo games from now on and the Wii isn’t. Jackass.

            1. Peanut Butter Kit Kat

I see, you’re actually blind? That certainly explains things. In that case I feel sorry for the person that has to type that crap out for you every day..

      1. LoL The Gamepad Screen Only runs on 360p.The Wiiu dont have much *good* games+Miiverse CensorShip anything bad about Nintendo.Btw The Wiiu have Soft DRM the games you buy on the Eshop is consolebound so Ya shitty console is shitty console=Wiiu.

      2. YaY drop Diaper Mario HD remake and All the LiL Kiddos grab this shit…Not Jajajajajajaja.
Wiiu Failed.Fact.Fanboys cant see the Truth Nintendo lost The Homeconsole war.Fact².Please Understand ;)
        #WiiDelayGamesForU.

      3. I feel like Mario should’ve been included in deluxe from get go and N Land should come standard as free software (no physical) on both the then basic and deluxe.

I’m assuming this new Mario bundle, which is appealing if I didn’t already own deluxe and Mario + Luigi, is digi download which isn’t a deal breaker but as a collector I waited and overpaid to get free Luigi case.

      4. I think this is an awesome move on Nintendo’s part. It hearkens back to the NES Super Mario bundle (and the Wii NSMB one) and gives gamers an out of the box (and disc based) 2D platforming adventure. It’s a nice middle ground game that lots of people will enjoy, I think. Replacing the Nintendo Land bundle is a surprise, but with the new price point will help it out. This may be the saving grace of Wii U console sales this holiday and beyond.

        1. My thoughts exactly. If this Bundle came out in the first place (and at this price), the Wii U would have sold WAY more units. Because, lets be honest. How many people wanted, cared, or even KNEW about NintendoLand? That year’s E3 (the year they first revealed NintendoLand) was one of the most depressing E3’s I’ve watched. I expected SO MUCH MORE. But all we got was, NintendoLand? And to make matters worse, that’s pretty much all Nintendo talked about throughout that entire E3. Even during the developer conference. SNOOZE FEST! I’m sure NintendoLand has it’s good qualities. But from the moment I first seen it, it just looked like casual crap to me. And I recently bought it used (and complete) at Gamestop for only $7.45. That alone proves my point.

      5. I’ll buy this bundle, unless they give me some Mario 3D World bundle for black friday.
        Never interested in Nintendoland.

      6. good package, I like that they are actually including a disc with both games on it, so you can play it in any Wii U if you have more than one in the family or want to bring it over to a friends house.

      7. Slowly but surely nintendo is doing things right so the Wii U cathes the attention of consumers this holiday. But the lack of another system seller this xmas will hurt them a lot. The 3ds got ahead with 3d land AND mario kart7 and it had no competition that xmas cause the vita was pushed back. The Wii U is going up against two new consoles. Even though 3d world looks freaking amazing they need something else. If wii fit u performs like its predecessor then the wii u will be just fine.
