Mario’s latest adventure, Super Mario 3D World, has gathered some impressive reviews on online aggregation site, Metacritic. The game currently has an average review score of 93 based on 29 critics. We already know that IGN awarded the game 96 and said that Super Mario 3D World is marvelous, and its constant variety and fantastic light-hearted co-op play proves that Nintendo still knows exactly how to tweak their Mario formula in fun ways. The PS4 console itself is also getting some pretty mixed reviews.

Now if they’d learn to advertise the console as a NEW system instead of an “upgrade” the game would probably fare a better chance. If Sony can sell millions of PS4’s at launch with games that weren’t rated and reviewed with great scores then Nintendo needs to figure out what they can do to sell this console. Unfortunately I don’t see this one game selling the console with all the mutli-platform games being the worst on Wii U….

After playing the game for the first time at the Best Buy E3 experience I knew this would be a great game. I never knew that so many critics would be willing to give it 100/100 though. I think it is well deserved. After playing it I said to my friend “You know I think this game may set the blueprint for multiplayer in 3D platformers just like how Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario 64, and Ocarina of Time set blueprints themselves.” There is no way in hell this is a rehash either. Did you dumb fuckers see all the new content that they are including in this game? This game is crammed with new content. The only way to make the game purrfect is to patch in drop-in/drop-out online multiplayer with voice chat and fix the camera flow of multiplayer.
Only two more days to play! :3 I’ll be picking this and Tearaway up at midnight with the Xbox One launch. lol
