Here’s The Super Mario 3D World UK Advert

Nintendo UK has released a new advert for the upcoming Wii U exclusive Super Mario 3D World.  Featuring a voice-over from Rufus Hound – who presented the Wii U difference campaign adverts – the TV commercial showcases some of the special power-ups and various levels, as well as emphasising a race to the goal post in local multiplayer. Super Mario 3D World will be available on November 22 in North America and November 29 in Europe.

      1. Ok, thanks. Will just keep an eye out for the reviews to start coming in.

Would really appreciate the date being changed to the correct format too. Am already grateful for use of the word ‘advert’ instead of ‘commercial’, thanks for that. /british

        1. No worries.

I personally don’t like the date format, but as a journalist you’re “programmed” to write the dates in that specific way. It’s something to do with the standard rules in print – at least that’s what I was taught. Most magazines and online sites use that date method.

  1. Even though I know it’s Rufus Hound it doesn’t particularly sound like him because of the voice hes doing for the Ad, so people in the UK probably won’t even notice :L

  2. I don’t understand why Nintendo can’t do commercials like this here in the U.S. also I want Nintendo Commercials like in the N64 & GameCube Era’s but too bad that will probably never happen. :(

    1. Those one are funny and fun to watch too! I really like the Gamecube Ads in generally compared to N64. I really like Star Fox Assault, Super Smash Brother (N64), and Mario Power Tennis Ads. XD

  3. I’ve just seen this advert playing in a local shopping centre, Nintendo seem to be really pushing SM3DW.

  4. I like how they put the GamePad beside the console this time, instead of in fromt of it. It makes it more clear that this isn’t the Wii.

      1. Excuses…

Where are their “Superior flawless machines” the Sonyan warriors keep throwing in our faces at a daily pace?

        Exposed…

  5. “Super Mario 3D World is wacky, fun, and thoroughly enjoyable. It’s easily the best title for the Wii U to date and one of the greatest adventures in Mario’s star-studded history.”

      1. You’re right, Super Gravy. And Edge (UK) have already given this U titled gem a 9 out of 10. GameInformer.com scores a 9.25 while its magazine publication scores a perfect 10!

  6. Super Mario 3D World now stands at 94.93% average rating based on 20 reviews, 7 of them are 10/10.
So far those that i have read have all praised the game´s creativity and how it is constantly throwing new ideas at you. Every stage seems to be and have something unique about it.
So far i haven´t seen anyone mention the words “rehash” or “kiddy” though.

So SM3W seems to be a great Mario game, not on Galaxy level maybe but enough to show us that Mario is nowhere near finished.

  7. What happened to, “reviews don’t matter”? To, “critics are against Nintendo”? To, “the media is constantly hating on Nintendo” ?

I guess those “excuses” only count when it’s convenient.

That said, I can’t wait to play this weekend! :3
