Online gaming publication Joystiq recently had the opportunity to sit down with the team behind Watch Dogs to talk about what exactly influenced the open world action-adventure game. Graham, who is part of the development team, said that they were inspired in no small part by Anonymous and also state sponsored hackers.
“In modern civilisation, no one is beyond the scope of technology. More often than not we lure ourselves into an artificial feeling of safety and it is information-age conspiracy theorists that have been vindicated. PRISM, the NSA’s rather extensive monitoring program was, if nothing else, a clarion call for us to reexamine our relationships with the devices and services we use regularly. We are inspired by Anonymous as well as state-sponsored hackers and the tales of corporate espionage but we decided to create fictitious factions for the game.”

That’s a lie right there. Whoever found this out was informed wrong. Ubisoft knows exactly what hackers inspired them do whatever. This is a company who has ties similar to EA. Bunch of cocky bastards who have no true commitment to anything. Just lie, cheat, and m- steal to win.

I’m more interested in how they will do after that year, because now that Wii U’s first year is over it will definitely be catching up its second year, and by its third year, around the same time the 3DS sold 1,000,000 copies, I’m sure they will be at least at half the sales, if not 75% of it or more.
