It’s a new year and the UK charts are finally in courtesy of GFK Chart Track. There’s still no Wii U titles in the top forty which means no Super Mario 3D World and Wii Fit U. The Nintendo 3DS is hanging onto the backend of the charts with Animal Crossing: New Leaf at number thirty-eight and Pokemon X at number thirty-nine. The top ten is dominated by Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

I’m from the UK so I find it interesting. Also it’s the biggest gaming market in Europe. We also only get official sales numbers from UK, US, and Japan. So we post those.

Sony has biggest market in Europe, not Nintendo. The only Nintendo device that does any business over is the 3DS but that is selling like hotcakes everywhere.
I’m from the US and I don’t find it interesting because it serves no use at all.
By the way could you post a link to when you all posted the numbers over when the Wii U outsold the XBOX One? Also, a link to articles of when the 3DS crossed the midway point of the lifetime sales of the PS3 and XBOX 360. And if it not too much trouble please post a link to when you guys acknowledge when the Wii U surpassed that lifetime sales of the XBOX 360 in Japan. You know, since this is a “Nintendo” site and everything I would assume those articles should be plentiful.
I keep explaining this. The Xbox One beating the Wii U in US for a week was derived from VG Chartz which aren’t reliable. We only post official chart data from NPD, GFK Chart Track and Media Create. I’m sorry if some of you feel that UK chart data shouldn’t be published purely because the Wii U and 3DS aren’t exactly setting the charts on fire. If they were then these comments wouldn’t exist. So if they aren’t “reliable” then post the numbers that are supposedly “reliable.” Otherwise it’s your opinion against anyone else’s. Neither you or I have any way of substantiating what numbers are 100% accurate. I’m looking at GFK Chart Track and it doesn’t even have XBOX One hardware totals available so saying that is one of your sources doesn’t really help your position unless there is something I’m missing.
The numbers for the week ending December 21st 2013 that VGChartz posted were reported on eveyr major news and gamign site and not ONE source found the numbers to not be credible. That’s not to say that they couldn’t be wrong, but no one has brought up any plausible reason as to why they aren’t so that is just as worthy of news as anything you posted if site much larger and more prestigious than this could do so.
And I’m sorry that you feel that a top-ten list that has nary a Nintendo title on it should be posted and then to go further by pointing no Wii U titles made the top 40 and two of Nintendo’s biggest 3DS titles were on the “back-end” of the list. Seriously what use was there for this on a ***NINTENDO*** site then what was the point other than as you say, “it’s interesting to you.”
That’s not how journalism works. If this was a ‘general’ gaming site like Polygon, Joystiq, Gamespot, etc, then that post would make sense. It doesn’t make sense because there were no Nintendo games on the list. I mean, you still haven’t really answered my question as to why this post is supposed to matter at ALL to anyone on a Nintendo-fan site.
You can spin it all you want but the only logical reason I can think of is for the purpose of troll-baiting to get clicks. Same reason way whenever Michael Pachter who is a self-admitted troll says ANYTHING it is front page news here. You know that any post that has his name with kick up a crap storm and and clicks-a-plenty.

That’s not really true. The Wii and the Nintendo DS were huge here, not sure how the sales figures compared to Japan and US though. But both systems were immensely popular.

What really makes these four consoles differed from each other other than graphics? PS3 and PS4 both do remote play and 360 and Bone both have kinect. So UK don’t want change really. What place did Kill zone , Knack and Ryse come in? Why didn’t owners buy those exclusives to make them top 10?
Because Sony and ms exclusives arent that kinda big deal. They might aswell not exists at all and it would not make difference.
Thats one of the reason this gamers want Nintendo to go third party. Third party games are lacking in quality and content that they prefer to waste money on a console and wish Nintendo will be doom than be safe and buy a Nintendo console.
Ps3-4 remote play was even accepted by Sony of bing buggy and really messed up, so the remote play is not really a “boosting” factor

This is it. At “E” for everyone has more games. Pikmin is “E” as well as Donkey Kong and Mario Kart. But totally different game plays. What’s the difference between COD and Battlefield besides hold a gun and shoot?

I guess there are no kids in the UK that play Nintendo games? Adults don’t buy Nintendo games for their kids there?
