The NPD group has revealed which games sold the most amount of units during the busy Christmas period in the United States. The best-selling game was Activisions juggernaut Call of Duty Ghosts which was closely followed by EA’s Battlefield 4. You can check out the top ten best-selling game in December in the United States, below.

That’s because NPDs combine all sales from every system. If you look back to 2012 or 2011 these are much of the same games that occupy the NPDs every month, every year just a different number.
Yeah. It hurts my heart to see that list. :(
Not one Sony or Microsoft first party game either. Just the usual crap that sells in the US.

Well technically Just Dance, Skylanders, Lego Marvel Super Heroes, Assasin’s Creed BLack Flag and Call of Duty Ghosts are all on Wii U….
It’s going to be the multiplatform games in the top 10 everytime, especially in America where we are so indulged in pop culture.
But, make no mistake. Just because we have the “popular” games in the top ten doesn’t mean Nintendo doesn’t sell. Nintendo games and the Wii U are doing the best over here. Nintendo is also doing pretty well in France if we’re getting nit-picky.

Now everyone from the U.K. can give us Americans shit for the games that we buy, just like we give it to them every time games sales lists for the U.K. are posted. Haha.
Nintendo is doing fantastic over here though, despite their games not being on the list.
Man guys if Mario sells 10 mil, and cod sells 10 mil on every system that 30 mil makes it a best seller….that’s why the and on all systems are at the top….it’s not a knock on exclusives, those all did well but they won’t sell 30 mil on one system on any system….Mario kart wii sold 35 mil it’s life time though, and that’s stupid good for or game, one system

it is great that these games were the top 10. I am more curious tho, how many games sold for each system. Did CoD sell more on PS4 or Wii U.
I imagine Just Dance 2014 sold more on the Wii U than XB1….

LOL the fact that so called ‘epic’ reviewed game Super Mario 3D World did not even make the top 10 and got beat by Madden,Fifa and Skylanders is PRICELESS and proves that NO ONE cares no more for Mario games!!!
Mario 3D World was supposed to be the Wii U killer game, yet it bombed in sales all over the world being the worst selling Mario game ever.
Mario Kart and Smash Bros will also bomb!!!
Zorbo, it’s a system wide thing….you can’t see look into these things to much…I still think cod on 360 may have sold more but Mario is healthy, and everything on that list is on multiple systems, so it’s natural
