This week’s video game software and hardware charts are now in from Japan. Kirby: Triple Deluxe for the Nintendo 3DS has moved down a place from last week due to two new PlayStation 3 releases, but is still continuing to sell well, shifting near to 40k copies. While four other 3DS titles, including Pokemon X and Y, join the pink puff-ball in the top 10. However, Wii Fit U performed poorly in its debut week with only 6K copies sold, coming in just outside the top 20, at number 21.
Elsewhere in the hardware charts, the 3DS sells consistently once more, bringing in a further 37k. The Wii U continues to hover around the 8k mark, but with Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze releasing on February 13 for Japan, we may see those numbers boosted in the next couple of weeks. Nintendo should make their own, and it well have comparability with your 3D tv, and simply uses the game pad from Wii U to play games. It could play DS and 3DS games, access to eshop, and can play Netflix and YouTube and web browser.

I am perhaps a jerk for saying this, but I’m glad Wii Fit U bombed. I would like to see Nintendo’s output more game focused, instead of chasing casual trends. Hopefully the new QOL platform doesn’t take away from their gaming output.

Last I heard, Digital sales arent bigger than those of physical copies. So even if the Digital numbers are the same, thats 12,000 copies, thats hardly a successful launch.
Its also not really a casual game…i mean to play it you need to buy the balance board, most players have bought the fit meter, and it takes dedication to use. (other wise what was the point) and clearly they said their getting into the health market….so no, its not casual. Its just a different part of the market.

I convinced a friend to buy a WiiU, now they are finding out the multi plats, like the upcoming Elder Scrolls will not be on the WiiU.
I’m a bit embarrassed and feel bad they bought a system and they don’t play it. I’m so close to selling mine and getting a PS4. Except I can’t or they’d be pissed I had them buy one… This is just a nightmare. After 2014, my relationship with Nintendo is over. I’m not the only one. Those of us that stood by them since the NES days are leaving in groves.
I told my brother to hold off buying one unless he wants to play a bunch of old games and platformers. He’s not buying the system for a handful of games. I’m so disappointed in Nintendo. :(

Dude, These people are passionate about something . I ‘m sorry but you probably understand what that feels like. What a joyless empty life you must lead. The world needs more people that are passionate about something, ANYTHING! Nintendo has always been the company with the most heart out of the big three. Sure they’re a multibillion dollar company but their products inspire this passionate fandom because they are not following all the hottest trends like turning their mascots into hard bitten Mountain Dew commercial rejects. Or bloating their budgets so much that they have release $30 2 hour prologues to break even. Right it wrong they do things there way, and they are starting to move in the right direction.
Meh, Im still holding out hope and have purchased quite a few solid games. There are going to be some great games released this year and Im sure Nintendo has plans for some great titles and hopefully some studio acquisitions in the near future. Its really not worth it to sell a WiiU at this point. Just buy the PS4 and pay for your subscription to play online and be in the same boat waiting for a decent library for a brand new system that is severely lacking in games atm.
How about you just play the systems/games you want and not be a fanboy and locked in to one or the other system? Fact is Nintendo delivers some of the best games consistently in both game play and polish. They have time/money to burn trying to right the ship and if it isnt corrected in the next few financial quarters, Iwata will be out and Nintendo will get a fresh new CEO to try out some new things.
Yeah but what about the exclusives, isnt that why people buy and choose their system of choice(if you arent multiconsolist) in the first place X,Bayonetta2,Zelda etc. those arent on Ps4 and One and if you bought WiiU expectin games like Fallout or Elder Scrolls then you cannot be from Nes era, because no matter what kinda hardware Nintendo has those devs wouldnt touch in Nintendo system for whatever reason. And Nintendo does infact have other than Nintendo games for WiiU just look what Ubisoft has put out, but the thing is that those games havent sold on WiiU like 3rd party devs have expected and that is because install base is small and that is the main reason why you dont see many multiplats on WiiU, games cost to make, AAA model is expensive. If you wanted to play games like Elder Scrolls you should had waited to see what system they are comin for, you can whine about Nintendo all you want but in your case you are yourself to be blame, cry me a blue river biatch!
It’s so silly and childish to abandon a company that has provided us with YEARS worth of great entertainment just because they’re struggling a bit with a new console! There might not be a lot of new games coming out for it but there are definitely already some great ones available and I have no doubt that more great ones are on the way. Heck even if the WiiU isn’t doing well, we still have the amazing 3DS with it’s brilliant library of games, so why let go of your so called “relationship” with Nintendo just because of their underperforming home console.
I don’t know about everyone else here, but I can never abandon them, no matter how much they are struggling now, they’ve been a constant in my life since the mid 80’s they’re embedded in my childhood and have yet to disappoint with the quality and innovation in their games, I will always be loyal to them and I have no doubts that they’ll come out of this slump with flying colors.

I just ordered the Wii U Skylanders bundle set from Wal-Mart (don’t care about Skylanders. But I wanted the White Wii U, and this was the best value bundle). So I’ll FINALLY be able to experience what the wii U is like whenever it arrives.
I got totally sick of waiting for a new color of Wii U. So right about now is the time for Nintendo to suddenly announce a new color and piss me off again.
They need to released monthly games for Wii U, see how the 3DS has monthly games while the Wii U gets one game every 3 months.
