Capcom Has “Taken Note” Of Fans Interest For New Mega Man Collection

Capcom USA community manager Brett Elston has taken note of fans desires to have an updated Mega Man collection. Elston admits that the Anniversary and X Collection discs are rather old and says he would love to get the games out to a new audience.

Nothing to announce or tease at the moment, but I’ve definitely taken note of – and passed along – the desire for a modern collection. Those 2004 / 2006 discs are getting pretty old at this point and I’d love to get those games out to a new audience – plus give people like us an excuse to play them yet again :P

    1. Of course it’ll be a collection if they do anything at all because God knows they won’t make a new game. Lazy b@st@rds!

  1. HOW ABOUT A NEW MEGA MAN GAME, YOU DUMB FUCKS?
is that really too much to ask for?

    fucking incompetent braindead fuckheads

    1. This^
We dont need another fucken collection, give us a new game (regardless of the platform) or I wont be buying shit. I hope this company goes to hell in the coming years.

  2. Capcom and your lovely money grab policy. Keep it up! Who knows, maybe in 20 years or so you guys can release a new Mega Man installment.

  3. They just don’t have the talent anymore to make a great mega man game so they have to use the classics

  4. Taken note of fans interested for a new Megaman game

Start development of a new megaman game

Claim you are working on a new megaman game

Show footage and a release date of the new megaman game

    Cancel said new megaman game

Never mention said new megaman game was canceled until to be close of the anounced release date.

  5. We want a new game, you idiots!! Now, I would not object to a Battle Network Collection or something, but still, I’d rather see the continuation of Legends or Star Force.

  6. That could sell well. More and more people are starting to talk about Megaman again, and the SSB anouncement made the internet explode.

  7. I wouldn’t mind a nice collection as long as it’s a complete one and doesn’t have the terrible input delay the ps2 version has

  8. There’s BN/SF fans here? Wow because 99% of the time, it’s anything but those. (And some actually hate the series)

Anyways I wouldn’t mind a BN or SF collection, even if I own most of them, I’d buy it. Not getting my hopes up though.

    1. I personally think the BN/SF series are really overlooked and underrated. Sure, I wouldn’t call them the best games, but I enjoyed them. I wish they had more of a level-up system to them but oh well.

    1. Or they could just by mega man, that would be fine and I wouldn’t mid a compilation of all the classic games and all the X games in 1 disc

  9. Nintendo this is ur chance, to pay capcom to make a megaman Blue Bomber collection. Featuring megaman 1-10 all the X series, legends, battle network and other series. In one big collection featuring a collector’s edition with a figure of classic megaman from SSB

  10. Nintendo: Hey capcom want to make a megaman game or collection
    Capcom: ….
Nintendo: Hey Capcom want to make money
    Capcom: ….
Nintendo: Hey Capcom want to make money and use that money to screw your other ips, and make another version of street fighter.
Capcom: YES!!!! HERE TAKE THIS BLUE PIECE OF SHIT WE AIN’T USING HIM….EVVVVVVER!!!!!!

  11. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

It’s funny how the only ones doing anything remotely new with Megaman is our own empire…

  12. That’s an interesting thing for capcom to say, but I’ll believe when I see it. We’ve seen so much arrogance from them ranging from their continued refusal to bring back mml3 or even make a new legit mega man game that I don’t think they really care about the fans at this point.

  13. Whats the point of a collection if fans are tired of playing the same old mega man games. I gave up on capcom already

  14. They should honestly make games 1-6 in a cell shaded 3D remake. then do X 1-6. Then 7-10 and then finish the x series, and do a more grungy look for the X series, and do a blend of the looms for games 7-10

  15. Just give us a Mega Man 11.Are we asking for too much ? I even don’t mind if it would be just another retro styled installment same as 9 and 10 were.Get your s**t together Capcom.

  16. Make a new retail collection with Mega Man 9 and 10 included! It’s a shame that those games are only digital.
