Nintendo has released a minor system update for Wii U owners. The company says that the update improves stability and enhances the user experience. The update adds “further improvements to overall system stability”, while “other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience”.

Well to be honest, xbox did the same thing so I’m used to it. I suggest you do too.
I know, but every time I see an update, I get my hopes up it’s something good, then I find out it’s nothing special. Wonder when they’re gonna make that quick launch update.
They wouldn’t update for no reason though, that I learned when I own 360 when gears 3 came around.

Hello! I do find it ironic to have an update on April 1st. Mother and I were hoping for some sort of joke to appear on our Wii U but I suppose not.

Alas, no folders. Mine updated early this morning (about 2 AM Central Time, U.S.A.). As the load bar moved (wasn’t but a minute or 2) I hoped for folders, too. But I didn’t notice any changes.
IKR? I’m running out of room for apps. If Nintendo doesn’t sort out the folder issue, then I’ll be done buying stuff on the WiiU and I WILL buy another console, I mean come on. This is ridiculous.
You don’t ever run out of room though, if you fill up the 6 pages you just get more like the 3ds.

Believe it or not, I think this update is gearing the Wii U for GBA VC games launch in a few days.
Getting Internet again the 7th, so downloading it then. Hasn’t used my Wii U much in the last few months, mostly because I have too much school work… I have around 10 games I have not completed, along with a few Indi- and VC games. I just hope I don’t have too much to do around the time MK8 releases!

Luckily no more assignments :) But my school term is almost over, and the problem is that we’re going away to UK during the school holidays. :(

Whenever I do these updates I never can tell what they do. There was that one time when everyone’s Wii U’s took an hour to load something and they fixed it with a massive update, but ever since, I have not noticed any changes.

i heard that this update could be to prepare the wii u for the summer update, but i’m just not sure.

I’ve noticed the speed in which the console loads up and navigating has improved quite a bit.
Still a little bit slow going to settings and then back, but they can improve that.
