Tilmen from Nintendomination has put together a video that shows off all 30 characters that feature in Wii U exclusive, Mario Kart 8. The cast of famous characters are joined by a host of wacky vehicles. Mario Kart 8 launches worldwide on May 30th.

There’s plenty of more iconic light weight characters that they could have used instead of wasting it on the baby clones, same could be said about heavy weights when it comes to Metal Mario and Pink Gold Peach. Just because they did dead Bowser with Dry Bowser, doesn’t mean these lame hard heads deserve a spot over a dead Koopa. Why not Petey Piranha, King Boo, Honey Queen, Wart, K. Rool? Little guys could always use Bowser Jr, Diddy Kong, E Gadd, Nabbit, or possibly Kamek. I wouldn’t mind seeing Pauline join in alongside our three princesses. Bring every racer that’s been playable before to drive up crazy sales, may be hard to overcome a game like that in the next Mario Kart installment but I’m so annoyed with some of the choices in MK8 when it was suppose to have so much hype to where it seemed far better than Smash Bros, hopefully I can get some DLC characters to add onto this game.
probably still 6 more characers since there’s no diddy kong on there. Wiggler and Honey bee were in mario kart 7 and not this too :( also wheres birdo! :O

I still think Dry Bowser is back, there’s obvious references to him in one of the new tracks. If he’s not in then the devs of this game are fucking trolls :(

I feel like this might just be all the non-secret characters, I feel like it’s strange that there are so many other popular characters like Birdo, Diddy Kong, Funky Kong, Dixie Kong, Cranky Kong, Dry Bowser, Prof. E-Gadd, King Boo, and others who should be in.
Does anyone else fell that metal Peach is a bit ridiculous, and just out there. No hate, I just feel like this skin was simply thrown in, unless it’s hinting something.
I’m liking the roster so far, however I’m hoping on more characters like Birdo and Boo. It doesn’t really matter though tgis game is going to be great.
You could hear the loud clanking as Mario tries to bang her like the robot on Robot Chicken. I always loved Peach being playable in an adventure game but I have never been so disappointed to see this tin can. Mario is horrible with just himself as is, but you got the bucket head and cry baby and now I just want to slap the normal Peach and Baby Peach. Maybe paint the Pink Gold one with normal Peach colors to troll Bowser when he tries to kidnap it and realize the impossible weight. I adore Rosalina but that baby form makes me want to kick it off the side of the track but finally confirmation! Baby Rosalina has two eyes, which means Rosalina does too or atleast use to!
the roster is very horseshitty so far. at least the game has other things going for it.

I agree with you. I’m so happy to have the Koopalings but without Junior, what’s the point? I want the Koopas to explode the fields with their CUTENESS! Add Junior Nintendo! Also, add some Kongs to even out the Koopas. Personally I want Tiny, Chunky, and Lanky. Definitely add K. Rool!
There has to be another row cause Nintendo wouldn’t just drop people’s favorite characters especially since diddly and Bowser Jr have been in like every game in Nintendo’s 6th to current generation being 8 also they’ve been using Bowser Jr since super Mario Sunshine so I don’t think they have taken him out it wouldn’t make any sense so I do think 100 % that there is at least one more row
And I like Baby Rosalina she awesome and Gold pink peach is sorta cool although would have preferred Monty Mole or Egadd as a character or heck even one of the Luigi’s mansion Ghosts would make a better racer but what u gonna do.

Didn’t think about Monty Mole, they’re cute little critters so one as a racer has my vote. Probably guaranteed a racer if they went with the underground driving or dig through walls idea they had before going with Anti Gravity. Maybe next Mario Kart.

Plus it’s not like Nintendo to show off an entire game if they did then wat surprise would there be to the fans that bought the game it wouldn’t work so that’s why I still think Nintendo is holding another row or 2 up there trump card sleeve so I think they will have unlockable characters.
I sure HOPE there are unlockable characters- this roster so far is a disappointment. We got ANOTHER baby character and a Peach reskin. Well, at least there’s no freakin’ Honey Queen or Wiggler and Waluigi is back. I’m glad the Koopalings are in the game, but other slots on the roster should have gone to other, more important characters who actually have presence and value in the series, like Diddy Kong, E. Gadd, Birdo, Bowser Jr., etc.
Honey Queen is bitchin though, she dominates all racers with her size. I actually like her because she’s nothing like other female racers and that people hate her just cause they hardly know her, felt like they wasted a space on her (but come on! Five babies? Two metal heads? That’s three Mario’s too many, two Peach’s too many!), I also love how she was totally unexpected. It was fun being the one pissing people off winning with that huge bee. Plus she’s a queen and a insect, don’t get to play those in Mario games too often, do ya? Do you at all? I don’t remember. :P
I don’t know why Nintendo added baby Rosalina and Gold pink Peach, it’s big of a waste slot along side with Metal Mario, If I was Nintendo I just added some fan favorites from the past Mario kart games, more Donkey Kong Characters and heck even Captain Falcon Himself as a Guest and add some F-Zero themed Tracks for DLC
