Spanish publication Nintenderos says that the Official Nintendo Magazine in Spain has Super Smash Bros for the Nintendo 3DS down as being released this September. You may remember that US retailer Target had the game penciled in with an August 29th release for the United States. So we could be looking at September for Europe and August 29th for the United States. Hopefully we will receive a release date for the game next month at E3.
Update: The magazine says it made a mistake and they actually meant to write summer, rather than September.

This obviously isn’t true, but Super Smash Bros for 3DS definitely won’t come out in late May or June. Probably mid-July or early August? I don’t care for the 3DS version anyway, I’m waiting for Wii U version.
Well, I’m buying both so I would like the 3DS to come sooner rather than later.

Well summer technically ends on September 22nd when the fall equinox occurs, but I’m hoping for a July or August release.

Summer though is until September 22nd. Plus in the North they go back in September.
Summer brake is June, July, August and almost half of September. It depends on what country you live. Meditterenean countries get too hot.

I always wondered why the biggest games come out during school and not summer when kids have free time.
Kids going to school and socializing will spread the word faster.
Heck, I just told some friends today that Marvel has, for months, had the RELEASE DATE for Captain America 3, explained who the Guardians of the Galaxy are, and informed them about Man of Steel 2/Batman vs. Superman and who’s in it.
You’d think this stuff would get around, but apparently it doesn’t (and we’re IN SCHOOL).

September is too late for me. I would cancel my pre order if I had actually preordered it. I still plan on getting it on day 1, but a September release is just plain disappointing. I’ll be busy watching the NFL and crushing away at Math Problems

I could believe it, especially given Nintendo’s shenanigans with their last minute release dates. MK8 spring release? Releases end of spring. So a summer release could mean an End of summer release.
