Nintendo has updated Wii Fit U to version 1.3.0 today according to a Miiverse post from the game’s director Hiroshi Matsunaga. Fitness fans will be pleased to hear the latest version has added 24 brand new Fit Meter Challenge courses, with 12 courses each for the Walking and Climbing challenges. Matsunaga assures players that the new challenges have plenty of features hidden within, including information on cultural and historical settings.
The Wii Fit U director also described a few other changes, particularly in relation to “My Routines” and the graph screen players use to track their weight loss. Other changes include additional headgear for your Mii when completing walking and climbing challenges, along with increased Miiverse support when posting game screenshots. For more information on the update, check out the official website, here. Here’s what Hiroshi Matsunaga said on Miiverse regarding the update:
“If you’ve been using My Routines to put together your own training routines, you’ll know that up to now you’ve always had to use a controller to proceed to the next activity. Switching activities has been made automatic in this update, so now you don’t need to pick up the Wii Remote or Wii U GamePad every time. It should make My Routines much more convenient to use.
“And one more new feature… When you choose to view your weight changes over one year on the Graph Screen, up to now you’ll have seen only an average weight for each month. With this update, you’ll be able to see individual dates! I think this will be an especially nice feature for those of you who were already training on Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus.”

What? An update provided new content? Lol they need to do this for every game.
They should do an update for NSMBU and add an entirely new soundtrack for it…
Most lazy game ever made…
Wow, even the Commander is becoming a troll. Jesus…
It gets boring to death once you beat it. I’d have gotten NSLU, but it’s too much of the same thing to be worth a purchase. It’s supposed to be harder (which is probably more frustrating than hard) and NSLU would make you hate NSMBU even more. Lol. And have you gotten 3D World yet? It DESTROYS NSMBU. I swear I stopped playing that game for like 3 months straight when it arrived.
I doubt it’s the ‘laziest game on Earth’. Compared to NSMB2 it had a lot going for it. Please step down form your position commander, you’re a pretty terrible rep these days.
Made by our empire, better?…
I have to spell every little detail to you brainless masses don’t I?…
Lol, oh yes I’m totally a brainless mass. You really are a bastard, aren’t you commander? Considering you slate off Nintendo fans too, like I said, resign. You’re becoming worse than the spammers.
Says the one accusing me of being a troll when I was being serious…
I already got bored with the Wii one and it was also the firs tone I played of those games…
Wut up wit dat foo’! Da soundtrack is wack! U jus’ stupid!
AWESOME! I love Nintendo. Other companies could learn rather than trying to assimilate them!
Haven’t payed this game a lot, was hoping I could at least TRY to be more healty with it. Will try again after the summer, should get the fit meter too!
Brilliant news! Have done all of the walking courses and was needing more!!
Hope this comes to North America soon as I could use more courses.
