Mysterious Murasame Castle Coming To US Nintendo 3DS eShop On August 7th

Nintendo of America has confirmed on last night’s Twitch stream that Mysterious Murasame Castle will be coming to North America for the first time on August 7th.  There’s rumours that one of the protagonists Takamaru could be announced as a possible retro character for Super Smash Bros, but that’s just a rumour at present.

Thanks, takamaru64

    1. I wouldn’t call this slow news the slightest since this was a gem that was NEVER localized in the West for years. And that my friend IS considered a big deal since Nintendo has a habit of not localizing games that wouldn’t appeal to us or sell well.

      1. I think he meant that Nintendo News is reporting information rather far behind after things have been revealed. So I would call this slow news. “Gem” or not, that IS considering if Nintendo even feels like localizing some games.

    1. Nintendo is my Blood

Yeah, no exposing sasori today it seems, though it seems he is being exposed by people on Youtube so that’s nice

  1. Anyone else feels like Nintendo spent too much time on each game? It was like a second tree house live with Indies, which isn’t necessarily bad. At the same time, it was a Nintendo challenge, 5 mins or less is not really enough to do anything. . . XD

  2. I’m actually proud of Nintendo for finally localizing this game after 18 damn years since it’s such an underrated game that actually had the potential as being as good as Zelda. Hell, they even heavily advertised and pushed the game in the 80’s, yet it flopped due to being rescheduled to be released after the overrated Legend of Zelda.

Either way, I really DO hope this is a sign that Nintendo has something special planned for the Murasame Universe, or better yet knows about Sakurai planning to include the samurai in the roster. After all, the game is now becoming international and he’s no longer considered Japan-only unlike Lucas.

    1. If they were able to put Little Mac, I sure hope they can also make an exception for Takamaru as he would be the only of his kind, a samurai, on Smash.

      1. Not just any samurai, but a samurai tons of projectiles and a cool invisibility cloak up his arsenal. But yeah, I’d like him to be included too.

    1. Sounds like somebody only grew up with Call of Duty and all the rest of the pointless shooters that ever existed. XD

      1. Nope. I’m glad I didn’t grew up with that trash. Just like you and whoever I’m tired of all these shooters myself.

  3. Localizing ancient games is not going to help. It will make CURRENT Nintendo fans happy, but if you want to take the gaming genre back, we need GC VC releases NOW. Even N64 releases. Nintendo is counting on 8-16 bit software to help them? Fucking idiots. God what happened? When did Nintendo become so stupid?

Nintendo needs to understand that Modern gamers could care less about their old shit. We need the N64 Legends awakened NOW. Those will bring people back.

    1. Now you know I’ve felt when Sega couldn’t decided whether they want to give the WII U VC like Dreamcast and Saturn or not.

Either way, Gamecube VC should happen soon since they are almost done with most of the good NES/SNES titles anyway.

    2. “Nintendo needs to understand that Modern gamers could care less about their old shit. We need the N64 Legends awakened NOW. Those will bring people back.”

That is such a contradiction. If modern gamers don’t care about their old stuff, than why bother putting up N64 or GC on the VC. Because those games are also “old shit” as you so pleasantly described.
