UK retailer GAME Has Already Sold Out Of The Special Bayonetta 2 First Print Edition

UK video game retailer GAME has announced via its website that it has now completely sold out of the limited edition Bayonetta 2 First Print Edition. The wonderful boxset was exclusive to GAME in the United Kingdom and obviously attracted plenty of interest.

Thanks, Retrogaminglord and Kallum S

      1. Bayonetta 2 looks like it’s going to do well. I just don’t want Xbots crying over this being a Wii U exclusive…

      1. It’s not developed by Nintendo or any studio owned by them. Even if they have the publishing rights for it, it’s still not a “Nintendo game”, making it third-party developed, or second-party.

        1. They are not just publishing the rights my friend, they are PRODUCING IT. as in. Nintendo paid $$$$ for this to be made.

          1. It seems I didn’t express myself correctly.
I’m aware of that. I just used the term “third-party” in this context because, even if the game is funded by Nintendo, it probably doesn’t follow the “design philosophy” or whatever you want to call it that many of the Nintendo titles share. Those games, the ones not developed directly by Nintendo (EAD, Monolith, Retro, GameFreak, Intelligent Systems, whatever) are usually grouped under the “games that no Nintendo fanboy ever buys”. Since Bayonetta (the original one) wasn’t released on a Nintendo console originally and Nintendo had nothing to do with the development of Bayonetta 2 (that I know of, at least), it’s easier to consider it one of the games that fanboys just won’t buy. Hence, I grouped it under the “third-party” mantle, not alluding to where the money goes but how the game plays and what fanboys consider a true “Nintendo game”.

There was another game in a similar scenario to this one, produced by Nintendo and developed by a third party that tanked hard, and drones from other fanbases usually group it with the rest of third-party games because of it. I can’t remember which one, though. Zombie U comes to mind, but I doubt that’s it.

  1. Considering how limited it was, I’d think they probably never had all that many to begin with.

Still a bit surprising though, given how much they were charging

  2. Bayonetta 2 sales should not be underestimated. This game have a lot of loyal fans and the game is getting a lot of hype after last Nintendo direct…

  4. Good news for Bayonetta fans!!!!

All around bad news if you live in the U.S (or any country aside from Europe) and never even had the chance to get the special version… like me. :/

  5. Guys this is only 15,000 copies lmao, not that impressive. The most core fans probably were the ones that rushed out to get this too. NOA fucking sucks why can’t we ever get anything good? Oh yeah because of that retard reggie.

      1. Yeah but only this special edition sold out. I hope this game sells well though, it kinda needs to and it deserves to.

          1. haha no….. i highly doubt that. That seems like lifetime sales to me, and that’s if it does great. I would love to be proved wrong though.

              1. I feel like it will hit 100’000 worldwide launch week and it will at least sell 400’000 lifetime. If it can’t sell 400’000 lifetime that would be insanely bad lmao.

Are you going to buy the new xenoblade game too? That game deserves to sell a TON, it would be a huge disappointment if that game wouldn’t sell. Nintendo needs to know people want other games than zelda and stuff. Xenoblade sold a lot and is getting more recognition but this game is on wii u…… i fell like x (if it delivers as much as the first) will be wii u’s biggest game. That’s the one game i notice other fanboys are jealous of and always getting mentioned, way more than bayonetta even.

                  1. Did you get a chance to play the original or did you miss out and it sold out everywhere?

Yeah that’s one of the few wii u games i getting on launch day….

I don’t care for hyrule warriors that much and i don’t care to play smash right away. So what i plan on doing is waiting for holiday season for those games. I plan on buying bayonetta towards holiday to see if i can get like buy 2 get one free that sometimes goes on or like buy 1 get 50% off. If i buy bayonetta at launch i won’t be able to get a good deal on one of those games i don’t care much for because i will have to buy a game i want (bayonetta) to get a deal on a game i don’t care much for.

                    1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

I don’t even think I saw any copy of it anywhere whenever I went to stores and I coudn’t find available copies online either that were not expensive…

Probably one reason to get the new 3DS but not at launch…

I need a Metroid game to justify an upgrade…

                      1. Yeah……. it’s to bad nintendo is making you fork out money to play xenoblade with their evil devious plan. Stupid cunts.

If you have a strong enough pc to just emulate it, i think your right to do so. You shouldn’t have to fork out money to play something.

Trust me, xeonobalde is one of those games that only a few games give off. Like the first time experiencing OOT? It’s really good and is a masterpiece unlike the shit of us, what an overrated pile of shit. Xenoblade has amazing music, amazing world, fun gamplay, good story, good pacing, great difficulty (gives off a challenge) It’s great, the last of us excels in nothing but story, a masterpiece has to be good in all areas not excel in one area. That’s why the last of us will fall into one of the most overrated games of all time.

                        1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

Well this was on online sites and those sites can price their games according to their rules that has nothing to do with Nintendo…

                          Travel expenses and such crap…

Thankfully though, I’ve found a site where I can buy them for the right prices and get bonus points to use on my next purchase…

                          1. That’s nice is xenoblade really that hard to find in europe like i was before gamestop reprinted it and ripped everyone off lmao.

Yeah if you get your hands on it, don’t think much of it. it takes a while to get the hang of an rpg and to get into it, at first i didn’t think it was that special, i thought it was good but that’s it. I didn’t know how to play it that well and everything. It probably took me 7 hours or so to see it was more than just good, 120 hours later loved it.

My favorite rpg’s are chrono trigger secret of mana and xenoblade.

                      2. Ice, I am 100% behind your comments today.

                        As well as with NC.

I am buying this, special edition if it comes to US, and fuck yes I’m getting X.

WiiU needs to have it’s ass hauled into the next generation!

          1. Is anyone selling JUST the casing on ebay? I just want the special boxart and the artbook and stuff. I am already planning on buying Bayo 2 (which comes with Bayo 1 for free) in the U.S.

        1. Sold out already, only took a few days, was looking forward to getting that, guess I’ll settle for the special edition which includes both games, maybe one day I’ll have it, don’t know how but I hope I will.
