This week’s Japanese sales data is now in thanks to Media Create. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate remains the best-selling software in Japan easily outselling the competition. However, hardware sales continue to be a worry with the Nintendo 3DS selling 96,590 units and the Wii U only managing 4,273. Here’s the best-selling software and hardware this week in Japan.

That has been fanboys tone for the last two years. Next release will do it and nothing is. Ssb will be short lived just all games accept mario kart. Mario kart has proven over the years to be long term and ssb has not. In the past ssb has sold way u der half of mario kart. So I dont see it picking up sales. 1 to 2 weeks bump in hardware And that will be it
But big releases always boosts it for a while, and there aren’t many people who buy new consoles before the game they are waiting for. Therefore, sales usually goes down before big releases.
Also, sales drop a bit before a bundle comes out. Expect sales to jump up a bit after November 13th when the Mario Kart bundles come out.
Why would anyone buy a Mario Kart bundle around the same time Smash comes? A Smash bundle would make way more sense.

History tends to repeats itself, I’ve been saying this since most of the Wiitards claimed Pikmin would be that one title that got the Wii U ahead. And then Wonderful 101, and DKCR:TF and still nothing. The only huge title Nintendo has for the Wii U is MK8 and NSMB. And those are steady rising as they should.
As great as SSB4 is going to be it is not going to do much for the Wii U, its never sold more than MK8 and it won’t change this time again and before you bring up the 10+ million SSBB made on the Wii I refer you to the casuals that bought into that hype, and how we no longer have them.
Almost everyone that wanted Smash probably own a Wii I by now, so the numbers won’t skyrocket like you fanboys expect it to. Expect A few million units sold and no it’ll not even come close to what MK8 will do in numbers.

well I am surprise that no other 3 DS title like yokai (1 and 2) don’t sell more, same goes for mario kart 8.
I also noticed that PS4 and PS3 are selling better than Wii U at the moment. The weird thing is that just one PS4 title is on this chart, that does not make sense to me. People buy the console but no game with it????!!!!!!
