Mighty Gunvolt Update Will Now Arrive With DLC At An Unspecified Date

Inti Creates confirmed yesterday that Mighty Gunvolt would be arriving in the 3DS eShop as a standalone title on November 28 for North America. In conjunction with the release of the 8-bit action game, a new update to version 2.0.0 would launch on the same day in the eShop. However, the developer has since issued a correction stating that the update will not launch alongside the game, rather it will arrive with the DLC at a later and unspecified date instead. Inti Creates has apologised to fans for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Mighty Gunvolt will still release as a standalone title for $3.99 USD on November 28, but if you’re looking to grab it for free you can still do so until 8.59am PT (or 12pm ET), November 28, when purchasing Azure Striker Gunvolt from the 3DS eShop. Inti Creates said the following to fans:

We previously reported that the version update will coincide with the release of Mighty Gunvolt as a standalone game on November 28th. This was an error. Rather, the update will coincide with the release of the DLC instead, at a date to be announced soon. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

    1. This game is actually a good Megaman alternative until Mighty No. 9 comes. :) I appreciate these guys giving us a nice retro style side scroller shooter with good support. Something that the jackass 3rd rate parties don’t give or respect for anymore. Indies >>>> 3rd rate parties.

  1. Seriously Inti, instead of releasing the whole thing worldwide, you make such a bullshit? You know, I think I don’t want your dumb game anymore. This is way too ridiculous and a no excuse for your poor plannings. I rather play Sonic Boom and have fun with it.

  2. I don’t get the commotion about this. So what if it’s DLC? The game itself is cheap already, and its a quality, 3rd party game. Jeez, you guys are some butthurt, cheapskates.
