The amiibo craze is real and it turns out that quite a few of you were hoping to get the Meta Knight amiibo from Best Buy. It turns out that they were very limited in quantity, so Best Buy has kindly given out a $5 discount code for use against any Wii U or Nintendo 3DS software which includes all new releases. The discount code is only valid until today so I hope you managed to get one.

I think it’s a lie too I talked to my regular guy at best buy last knight. he said they had 15 meta knights but they all got bought up in the morning, he mentioned nothing of a discount, this may be just for those who pre ordered one and their orders got delayed.
It has to be or its only for those who preorder. Or maybe that lady was just on her fucking period.
I wouldn’t call it a craze. You put a beer in front of an adult he/she is going to drink it. You put a doll in front of a kid and he/she is going to play with it. To dig deeper, it is Nintendo placing the cheese on the trap. Delays and holding back stock make the children want them even more. This is what Nintendo does best. They are selling kids Mcdonald quality toys for $13. It is very impressive.

You should walk down the toy section at target or walmart. You would be surprised at what passes for even a $10 toy these days. And amiibos are well above Mcdonald quality.

This better not have anything to do with why I haven’t heard a word about my 3 pre-ordered Meta Knights. I read that Best Buy was supposed to be getting them on the 20th, which was yesterday (didn’t even realize that until just now).
Update: IDIOT BEST BUY! I called to find out why I haven’t heard anything about my pre-orders of Meta Knight. And they didn’t even have my name or phone number in their computer. WHAT THE HECK?! I pre-ordered them on December 9th. The woman found one on their shelf and is supposed to be holding it for me.
What’s the point of pre-ordering if stores can’t even get anything right?
Same thing happened with me kinda, I went in the store a week or two ago checking on my pre-order with the receipt to be prepared. For some reason they couldn’t find any email, numbers or any information associated with the receipt.
So then I go in there on the 20th, they simply scan the receipt ,and amazingly all my information pops up on the credit card machine… *face palm*
Man, it makes me worry every time I pre-order something that something like this will happen. Especially when I pre-order months in advance. Stores should do something to prevent mistakes like this from happening. What makes this REALLY bad is that Meta Knight was a Best Buy exclusive. And because of Best Buy being idiots, I (or, my brother and niece) may never get one now. (- _ -)

I was there without like five other people. We all managed to get one but a few of few were greedy and wanted two and she was overwhelmed by everyone chasing her down. They didn’t realize they’d have such an issue with them, but they made sure everyone that showed up got one. They only had 8 sent to them.
