Here’s A New Fanmade Mother 4 Gameplay Trailer

The Mother 4 project was always going to be interesting and it has now got super interesting thanks to a new video currently doing the rounds. The fanmade project looks set to be released this June after a long time in development. Here’s the basic plot lines surrounding the ambitious project.

Mother 4 follows the journey of three kids and the leader of a biker gang. With dark rumors of “Modern Men” running wild, these unassuming heroes set out to uncover the truth, no matter how dangerous. From bustling urban streets to secret volcano bases, all kinds of oddball thugs and impossible monsters stand in their way… but everything should be okay if they don’t forget to write home

Thanks, TwiliLord

          1. He DID say he was done, but if someone out there wanted to do Mother 4, he was all for it.

Will it stack up against Mother 2 or even the masterpiece Mother 3? No idea, but they sure can try.

  1. Even though it looks cool. It just depresses me that much more knowing that it’s not by Nintendo. It’s stupid for any company to ignore a game/series when they know they’ll make lots of money on it. Why doesn’t Shigesato Itoi just hand the project/series to another Nintendo company if he doesn’t want any more to do with it?

    1. Itoi believes that the Mother storyline is complete and that no new game is needed. He did though challenge fans to create their own if they wanted.

      1. But Itoi teased several months ago and hinted that something special regarding Mother was in the works for North America. I’ve never forgotten that hint.

  2. As much as I am a Mother/Earthbound fan, I really wish they would change the title and make it more of a spiritual successor to the series so they could possibly release it on the Wii U. This game looks amazing but I don’t think it will get half the attention it deserves if it only releases on PC. It’s obviously not going to be on steam where it would garner more attention too.

Anyways, obviously they may need to change more than the name but I wish they’d start thinking about it. They could make a good chunk of change off this one and develop more titles.

    1. Actually no, this project has been going on for a while and Nintendo is well aware of it. Itoi has actually given his blessing to this group.

I just hope that Nintendo doesn’t pass up on the game and releases it on the eShop.
