We know that The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D has been performing well in the United Kingdom, thanks to the charts we post every week. Now it turns out that Majora’s Mask 3D was the sixth best-selling game during the month of February in the United Kingdom. The game managed to beat The Order on the PlayStation 4 which was released on February 20th. Majora’s Mask 3D was the single best-selling game of February and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate didn’t perform too badly at all.
It was a big month for Nintendo. The platform holder released two new versions of its 3DS console, and the remake of cult favourite The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask was the single best-selling game of the month. This – and Capcom’s Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate – helped the 3DS nearly double its market share in terms of revenue and units sold.

…I’m confused by this article’s title
Wait maybe I think I got it SINGLE as in on one console got it
Yeah single platform game yeah the title was a bit misleading
I read MM 3ds it is good for 2ds as well.
when will call of duty cease to be made it’s the same damn game ! i only tried black ops once and got bored after an hour.
When it stops turning in a profit…. So… never.
They use to say the same thing about Guitar Hero. COD will end at some point.
also when kids stop playing it
The problem is there is always another generation growing up. With each passing year a 12 year old turns 13, or a 14 year old turns 15. For that reason alone COD will probably never lose popularity. While this generation gets sick of COD, there is always a new one playing it for the first time..
true even though its sad
Call of Duty first, figures…
Pathetic, isn’t it? I won’t even grace CoD with the categorization of “game” anymore.
WTF is so special about COD to be selling so good for nearly 6 months? Damn don’t they want to play something besides COD? Rather play that than exclusives? Why?
It’s casual gamers. They don’t even go online to see these chat forums so they are oblivious to people hating on them.
Believe it or not, casual gamers are essential to the video game industry. If the gaming industry did not have tons and tons of people who just spend their money on the pop culture games time and time again, then companies would not make enough money to stay afloat. Activision would not be around anymore, Ubisoft would be in deep trouble as well as others like EA. Those companies RELY on Call of Duty, Assassin’s Creed, FIFA, Madden, etc.
In this day and age, to have BIG corporate video game companies it is a NECESSITY to have that flagship title which will guarantee massive amounts of sales over and over with minimal effort going into each new product. Sometimes more effort goes into some games while others suffer…
Nintendo does the same thing. They just have a lot more flagship titles. Mario, Pokemon, Zelda, Donkey Kong, and Kirby are their big sellers. They can rely on these franchises to turn a profit and then work on other games in between. Nintendo also has the luxury of a horde of money to use as a buffer if they have a massive failure, while other companies do not. This means Nintendo can take more risks than other companies and can turn out more unique products.
Yeah but this type of cra suck because Ubisoft only focus on shooters now. Who besides Nintendo can be creative and make new genres of games? Like a 3Dvplatformer. I love 3D platformer and at one time tons of developers had variety of 3D platformer like Crash, Banjo Kazooie not just Mario. I’m sick of FPS using people. Where have all the Animal 3D platformers gone? All I have is Mario and Sonic and Sega 3D platformers suck now. Why don’t Sega make an all new animal IP?
Let’s me guess because of this Nintendo is going to give UK a bunch of free shit.
It just doesn’t surprise me anymore…
Funny thing is that it goes to the top, and it’s price gets lowered rather fast.
I bought it at full price for my brother, and a week after that, it was only 39.99… dam do I hate gamestop….. I told him he should wait and this happens… it was for his birthday though (and no he is not a little kid).
Sadly, that’s not saying much when The Order was next after Majora’s Mask. It’s amazing how many people will buy a shit game just because it looks good…. very sad.
That’s the essence of the Sonyan species…
Pathetic lol
You do know it only sold well because Sony actually bothered to advertise it? Same thing with Majora’s Mask 3D
the order looks interesting i dont have a ps4 but that game tempted me aswell if evolve came to the ps4 then id be sold
Evolve IS on the PS4…
really ? holy shit! thats great to know
Bored of killing games watched bbc news
Watching the musketers on TV and watching the news to much killing at the moment in the world and in games and in the news on newsnight
I always watch newsnight
I’m just tired of games where I play a person running around killing other persons. It’s always the same thing. Run around in first person mode, collect ammo, and shoot people. No boss fights, no puzzles, no using your brain whatsoever.
