Rumour: Nintendo Direct Apparently Coming Soon

A new Nintendo Direct presentation is bound to happen sooner or later as it has been a while since the last one. Twitter user NaughtyDog4Life has spoken to a few anonymous sources at last weekends PAX East event who have apparently hinted that we should expect to see a Nintendo Direct being announced soon. What do you think will be discussed?

Thanks, Cutthemac

      1. They better have a surprise addition to the pack, like some decent battle tracks or some new feature because the first DLC kinda got boring quick…
Or they should at least announce battle tracks will be the next DLC (for free).

  1. I want this to happen I want it to be a hour I still think they will wait to tell us more about Zelda and Star Fox at E3 but I want to hear about the games that they are hiding

    1. Ikr? it’s amazing how dumb ppl can be just to believe someone who says such thing without further information

      1. (Ah, well, this is just some blog without any care for facts.)

Right. With the author of this article mentioned this Twitter user, I expected him to follow up with something like ‘[insert user name here] has been successfully predicting Nintendo announcements ever since following the publisher on his Twitter, making him an unofficial but noteworthy source for Nintendo news.’ But then the author apparently thought the source spoke for itself.

Relatedly, when going through this Twitter user’s posts (something the author should have done), I saw nothing indicating this guy has any insider knowledge or is otherwise noteworthy, and I already see such Tweets as this re-tweet from three hours ago:

        Step 1: Go to PAX
Step 2: Talk to some people
        Step 3: Tweet about it
        Step 4: ???
        Step 5: PROFIT

  2. so the guy became famous now, it’s going to be hilarious if it turns to be a lie and he just becomes one more troll for the list.

      1. yeah….but we dont need iwata to tell us the news….we just want de news…bring Miyamoto or Reggie if you need a popular face

  3. If this is true, then I hope I see some info on the Mewtwo DLC for Smash 4,Mario Maker, and Mario Kart 8 DLC.

    1. Not to forget that we need a teaser of his gameplay to promote the DLC even more for those unsure to get him due to not knowing his new moveset. We’re definitely lacking info about him…

  4. Splatoon is a given, same with Codename STEAM if it’s not out by that point, and ultimately the entire fanbase is expecting Mewtwo and Star Fox. Otherwise, who knows what they’re going to throw at us? They’ve always given us some surprises.

As for me, aside from Splatoon, they haven’t talked about a few games in a while, like Yoshi’s Woolly World. Zelda would be nice, too, but I’m not expecting it.

  5. I’m pretty sure if they do have a nintendo direct soon. They will include a Splattoon release date. Maybe a Xenoblade X release date, they will show more on that new fire emblem game. And they will maybe show more about star fox.

  6. I wouldn’t expect anything too extravagant like Zelda U until their E3 2015 Presentation, but Nintendo will most likely cover when the exact release dates are for Xenoblade Chronicles X, Splatoon, and Mario Maker.

I’m positive that Nintendo will announce remakes of old classics that take advantage of the capabilities of the New Nintendo 3DS for the holiday season: Super Mario Sunshine 3D and Pikmin 3D being the most realistic choices. I also think it’s highly probable that they’ll announce a couple other new games for the holiday season, show new footage of upcoming software we already know about like Yoshi’s Woolly World and Mario Kart DLC, and provide us with more information about upcoming titles.

The major title that will most likely be shown off at the beginning or end of this Nintendo Direct could be Star Fox as we still haven’t seen any footage of the game in action as of yet and it’s supposedly coming before Zelda U. It just seems like the obvious choice of headline title to show off for the purpose of the direct so that the game doesn’t get overshadowed by announcements at E3.

We definitely need new 3DS game announcements, though. Mostly because there is no real upcoming lineup of software that we know about for that system, especially when you compare it to how much new games the Wii U is getting now. Nintendo needs to announce more games that take advantage of the New Nintendo 3DS hardware.

  8. Random guy on Twitter

    +

Talk to people we know absolutely nothing about

    =

Best Nintendo news ever confirmed (most likely all third party game developers have flooded to Nintendo)

  9. Of course there’s gonna be a Direct. We need release dates for Xenoblade Chronicles X, Splatoon, Yoshi’s Wooly World, Mario Maker and Rodea The Sky Soldier. Hopefully Nintendo will give us the status of Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem as well as a localization for Fatal Frame but if they only show us gameplay trailers of Star Fox, Devil’s Third and the new Zelda I’m good but as always I’ll keep my expectations low so that I don’t be disappointed

    1. Huh??? Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, Wonderful 101, Donkey Kong Country Returns Tropical Freeze, Wind Waker HD, Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World, Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2, Pikmin 3, and Super Smash Bros are reasons alone to purchase a Wii U.

  10. Well, I could have told you that. They will obviously do a Smash Trailer showing Mewtwo’s return.

NO WAY they will give up the opportunity to generate hype and sales.

    1. I’d like a mixture of both. As long as the games shown are interesting, then I don’t mind the platform.

  12. I thought Directs were monthly anyway, so I expected this. Still I want release dates and an additional trailer for every game shown but unreleased so far.

  13. I want a release date for the standard N3DSes same colors as the other territories got. I don’t think I can ever get excited over a Nintendo Direct ever again.

  14. More like I hope that directs gives us smash bros Dlc I want a brawl and Melee pack it just be boring haveing one fighter I wanna give them my Money I want it

      1. I wouldn’t expect Metroid until E3 (assuming it shows up).

Xenoblade X USA date would be nice. Mewtwo trailer should be a given hopefully.
