You’ve all been waiting for it, so here it is. The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask New Nintendo 3DS XL is once again available to purchase on GameStop. You’ll need to get it as part of a bundle that will set you back $329. However, that bundle includes the New Nintendo 3DS XL, Majora’s Mask 3D, Code Name: STEAM and A Link Between Worlds, plus a Majora’s Mask game guide.
Thanks, Ronald B and Joe N

damn EB Games!! Canada gets screwed yet again.
As a Canadian, it was on sale at EB games yesterday. So, we didn’t really get screwed. Only some people saw the news first and got it before others.
Or its available on Nintendo UK Shop for £210 with charger and a £10 free case ….
Not for Canada…
Luckily i already have all that. Minus the digital game guide.
i love how gamestop works stock supply into their favor by forcing additional items just to get an item which is really supposed to be sold by itself
Exactly. That’s disgusting in my opinion and that’s why I’ve stopped going to GameStop at all.
Or its just smart business, the item is in hot demand, and scalpers wouldn’t really make a profit because trading and selling games rarely net a huge profit, after tax, if you sell the system itself for 375, youll only make about a 25$ profit
well if it stops 1 out of 5 scalpers from buying it, then it’s fine to me :) Just like their Game Cube Adapter and Controller bundles for the U…
also thanks gamestop for shipping me my Toad Amiibos damaged inside of box like always and then giving me a hard time to return it for my money back. No i dont want to apply it to another game or on credit.
I was so worried about that with Shulk, luckily he came in undamaged. That is why I don’t like ordering Amiibo, unless I have to. Toys R Us did the same with my Lucario, really sucks. No telling when I’ll be able to replace him with one that isn’t damaged.
why does the box matter, you open it and you throw the box away
They said damaged /inside/ the box. (-_-)
Well for me, he was right. I was talking about both, the box it was mailed in being damaged and the amiibo itself. Since I’m collecting some of them.
Cause a lot of people collect these, probably more than the people who actually use them. I was never a fan of the idea of amiibo being used with games per say, since they really don’t hold much data. So I personally don’t see much reason for me to actually use them, and I’m not going to buy the same amiibo just so I can use it in multiple games without overwriting the previous data on it.
Some of the content they offer is cool, but I can live without it. Even if I opened them, they’d still be sitting on a shelf never being used.
I also think they look better in the box they come in. Later down the line I might end up selling them as well, and without it being in the box they are of no real value. They’ll sell for more being mint.
Down already! Sells faster than hotcakes
So much for that last article about NeoGAF member “D” speaking to a Nintendo rep. Looks like his information wasn’t correct after all, considering the MM edition of the New 3DS wasn’t supposed to get restocked again, according to him.
I believe you didn’t get it, this is the same stock they were supposed to get in first place. But the delay, and strike had to do with it.
The port strike ended several weeks ago, and if it was as you’re saying, I believe this “delayed stock” would have showed up long ago.
But even if what you’re saying is true and this is the remaining stock that was supposed to arrive at launch, the information in the article I was referring to is wrong nonetheless. This “D” person mentioned in said article claimed the MM N3DS was, directly quoting here, “absolutely gone” and it was not going to be available again at any point, which is proven wrong by Gamestop having it in stock again now. All apart from the fact that this “D” didn’t mention the MM N3DS in relation to the port strike, they only said the amiibo were affected.
The port strike excuse was always bullshit anyway. Sonic was finally in stock in my area today. I called 4 walmarts, apparently they were all shorted again, cause I asked, since online it said they had them at multiples store but every one I called was out of stock.
Then I was lucky to find a Bestbuy that just got some in today.
Guess how many? 4 in a entire shipment.
So yea, port strike my ass. I’m not saying it didn’t cause problems, but when they are still sending out extremely limited stock when it has been over for a good enough amount of time for them to fulfill damand with shipments, it is bullshit.
It never made sense anyway, when they were able to ship out so many of the other characters, but not the more popular ones. Nintendo knows what the hell they’re doing. Same with the MM 3DS, it seems most stores barely got any. It was a rat race once again.
So what is Nintendo’s excuse now I’m wondering.
Dang it. demand*
I’m sucking at typing today.
stores* son of a bitch…
I agree with pretty much everything you’ve said. It was just very strange how Nintendo blamed the stock shortage on the strike right when the strike was ending. Why didn’t they just tell people before then, if that really was the problem?
And as you’ve said, if it truly was because of the port strike, how come it was only certain characters being extremely rare, while others can be found in heaps everywhere? Or how come stock is still very limited, several weeks after the end of the strike? How come the strike only affected specific amiibo and the MM N3DS, but not any of the other 3DS/N3DS models or WiiUs?
It’s been sketchy from the very beginning, really. It’s hard to tell if they’re doing it on purpose, such as trying to create artificial stock shortage maybe, or if they’re truly experiencing actual problems. Whatever it is, Nintendo isn’t handling this whole situation well at all. I just don’t quite understand why Nintendo isn’t addressing the obvious issue instead of leaving supporters completely in the dark about what’s happening. Clarification would do both Nintendo and the consumers a favor.
Exactly. Spot on about other products of theirs being more available. I’ve seen a lot of New 3DS’s lately, just not the MM model. So again it makes no sense, like you said that the MM 3DS is so limited but the others aren’t. It is a special edition, it isn’t a limited edition.
I’m tired of most companies and their lack of transparency. They would be amazed to see how understanding people can be if you just explained what was actually happening, instead of leaving everyone out in the dark. Sure some will still complain, but I for one would be much more understanding if what they said made any sense, the problem is that it does not add up.
Okay, I snagged one. Thankfully, I already had my previous order cancelled back in February so I am so happy! I just really hope Gamestop doesn’t cancel any orders!
Got out of a meeting, called my gamestop and boom 1 more left, drove like an a hole but I got their and she’s all mine, oh yes, she is.
I managed one too this morning myself!
Sorry, i picked up the last one
Sorry, i picked up the last one
So THAT’s how they plan to shuffle out copies of Code Name: Steam. Oh, gamestop you Sly, sly fox.
Im glad I managed to get a few more at target. Other stores have it too check it out. To the ones who couldn’t get it, see you in ebay. I have good prices.
This morning many Gamestops received 4 each(Just the system, not the bundle). I was able to snag the last one at my local GS.
I was there at Gamestop this morning at open time. Waited an hour for the shipment to arrive and was first in line for my Majora’s Mask n3DS XL. My brother was extremely jealous, and asked if I’d please go snag him another if I could. My girlfriend called up, this was several hours later. They still had one left, so she went and snagged it for him. Now my brother and I both have shiny new Majora’s Mask n3DS XL units. :)
Congrats man. The system looks beautiful in person. The stock photos don’t do it justice. Now I’m just waiting for my 32 gig sd card to arrive.
I got this bundle! I went to gamestop around 2:30 yesterday and the guy there said he would help me order it if I stuck around. I told him that I already had the two Zelda games, and he said that he would be willing to accept majoras mask as a return if I brought it back when I got it (link between worlds is a download so he couldn’t accept that). He also said he’d so the name for code name steam if I didn’t want that game.
