The GC did have analog triggers. In Melee, pressing down the triggers enough gave different shield properties. Not holding it down all the way is light shielding, holding it down all the way is power shielding.
This could very well be the reason for no GCN virtual console, as it’s certainly possible. There’s a homebrew app for Wii called Nintendont, which can run GameCube games. It also works on the Wii U. It has Pro Controller support, classic controller support, and even PS3 controller support. Nintendo can certainly release GCN games on eShop.
They’re probably saving that announcement for E3. I’m just psyched about the possible localization of Fatal Frame, Paper Mario, N64 games being in HD, Starfox Horizon, Mewtwo DLC, and Web eShop. It looks like that Direct is gonna be very good if those leaks are true which for now I think it’s safe to assume that they are

Cool. I’ve been trying my hardest to avoid all of the announcements from that ND leak the other day so that I could still have a few surprises on the off chance it turned out to be true. That said none of what I heard seemed so over the top that it would have to be fake so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was legit.
But I did see someone mention Paper Mario. So if they are working on Paper Mario Wii U i’ll say once again here’s hoping it’s way closer to PM64 & TTYD than Sticker Star and SPM. I don’t know if I can deal with the process of getting hyped about Paper Mario again and hoping for an adventure like the one on GameCube but bigger and better only to find out they’re essentially making something else entirely that isn’t an awful game but is NOWHERE near as good. It’s depressing lol.

Mario & Luigi is, in my opinion, the better RPG series and I’d much rather see a Mario & Luigi for Wii U than a Paper Mario.

Super Paper Mario is fucking fantastic.
It’s a great game to me, but not a better Paper Mario. It’s like saying Super Mario World is fantastic. It is, it’s one of the best platformers of all time if not the best one, but when it comes to Paper Mario and the amazing thing PM64 built, TTYD is the closest i’ve seen to that being perfected. Sticker Star is pretty solid also, but it’s doing something else completely. That’s just my opinion though.

I grew very bored of Star Fox (still curious to try Assault from GC), everybody is shitting on Devil’s Third over graphics when clearly it’s fucktons better and funner than COD anyway, Yoshi’s Wooly World is still up in the ass air with no release date even though Nintendo is strangely advertising it early, MP10 is absolutely so shit that I wish I can hijack their dumb cars gimmick and run that garbage game over repeatedly until it’s as flat as Wii Music’s crappy soundtrack and finally Splatoon with NO VOICE CHAT…

I was hyped for all the big games. But then time went by and there was just so much waiting… Like in the 2013 direct. Mario Kart 8 announced! Smash Bros revealed! Coming to Wii U! Next year… Wtf? All that waiting. Only to wait another year. Great. Now the same happens to Zelda. I was so hyped when it was announced in that 2014 Direct. It FINALLY got a trailer. But it wasn’t coming till 2015. Now it isn’t coming until 2016?

Not as good as the PC imo but still better than nothing.

1. Nintendo going mobile has nothing to do with you. It’s not like Nintendo is forcing you to buy their mobile games. They’re just trying to promote their IPs which are becoming less popular due to mobile gaming.
2. Delaying Zelda Wii U is sad but we’ll have to see what Nintendo has for back-up. We’ll most likely see during E3 (knowing them though, they’re probably gonna be stupid and not have anything but who knows?)
3. Voice chat doesn’t AUTOMATICALLY make the game suck! Yes voice chat is needed and I also feel Nintendo is stupid for not having it but it doesn’t make or break the game. Splatoon is still gonna be a blast to play I’m sure.

I really hope it isn’t getting delayed as well. That would absolutely destroy me after learning we won’t be getting Zelda this year. If they outsourced some of the work to Platinum Games as the rumor is suggesting then I think we should have it later this year. Man I’ve really missed the Star Fox series.
