Here’s An Excellent Analysis Of Mario Maker

GameXplain has been hard at work uncovering the secrets found within the recent Nintendo Direct and 30th anniversary trailer for the ultra creative Mario Maker on the Wii U. The team uncovers new enemies, including new 8-bit and 16-bit forms, level themes and also some more Mario Paint references. If Mario Maker sounds like your thing, then be sure to give it a watch.

  1. Mario Maker is the game I’ve wanted since I was drawing Mario levels on typing paper at the kitchen table in 1989. Can not wait.

        1. That would be awesome. Maybethey could do it so that if you buy Mario Maker on Wii U, you get Handheld Mario Maker for 3DS for 50% off. It would be a nice incentive to buy both.

  2. another example of gamepads SUPERIORITY

    1. It looks to be really smooth when it comes to creating the levels. I am really excited for this game.

  3. I want this game. I want to create some pretty challenging levels. Of course I gotta plan them first. Want to make masterpieces =p Hugs!

  4. I’m just too old to fully appreciate games like this anymore. All I do is look at it and wonder what the point is. I’m still going to buy it. But I can almost guarantee it’ll just sit and collect dust with the rest of my stacks of games. My life……(- _ -)

    1. pretty sure this one’ll be a download only release tho, like nes remix. tho that one came out retail moments later.

      1. It was confirmed a while ago to at least be coming to retail. It will probably be downloadable as well.

  5. No matter how many different articles there are about Mario Maker, be it a new trailer, gameplay footage or like this, an analysis video. 9 times out of 10, the comments consist of people stating how they are really excited for the game. The truth is, this is I am super excited for this game. September can’t come quick enough…

    1. I’m not particularly excited for this game. It looks neat, but I am a fan of 3D Mario games over 2D Mario games. If they ever made 3D Mario Maker, I would be off-the-wall excited.

      1. I wonder how something like that would work out… There would need to be a lot more content to use. MUCH more content. Not to mention the game being able to load and compute entire large 3D worlds, of which the designs of can be virtually limitless, on multiple axises without crashing is gonna be hell to program.

    1. Lets hope that we will be able to play the levels on the 3ds. I doubt they will make a 3ds version of mario maker, but hopefully a stand alone game that will allow gamers to download and play the user created levels created on the wii u.

In fact, now that I think about it, something like that is a must. So excited about mario maker that i have replayed NSMB2 and NSMB on my 3ds. The handheld seems to be made for platforming mario!
