This whole amiibo thing is total bullshit, Nintendo seemingly doesn’t care at all, so personally I quit giving a shit about these figures.
I didnt even know they were released lol I gave up on these at the beginning of the year. I’ll still pick up any that are readily available but no way am I putting in extra effort to get them like i did for the first wave

These honestly don’t look that good, besides the nice paint apps on Wario’s jacket, I’m not that impressed with these molds looks. Pac-Man is about the best… but he’s kinda easy to mass produce… so he should be. Wario and Chario look off model.

With every wave of amiibo, they seem to be getting harder and harder to get our hands on. In fact, wave 4 is the very first wave that I missed out on ALL pre-orders. ALL!!!
I went back to Gamestop’s website over and over throughout the day when I knew they were going to be available for pre-order.
First, their site was down for several hours that day. Then when it finally came back in, there was no wave 4 amiibos on their site ANYWHERE. I was like, WHERE ARE THEY? Then later that night, I see a new post here on MyNintendoNews stating that all pre-orders were sold out. I’m still confused as to how the hell they sold out when they never even appeared on their site?
So now I’ll be forced to make several trips to every amibo retailer on the day they’re released (and the following days) just to see if I can luck out and find wave 4 on store shelves. Unfortunately, I might have to buy an import of Ness. Why the hell does Nintendo make certain amiibos store exclusives in North America? Aren’t they hard enough to find as it is? I still want a gold Mario. Me sad. : (
Yea that was total bullshit . Made no sense, I did the same for Ness specifically, and he along with others never appeared on the site.
Wave 4 has been the worst, which again makes no sense. All I’ve managed was the Splatoon set.

Honestly, Nintendo treats the whole amiibo thing like an afterthought, or worse, as a joke.
How are they unable to meet the demand with these figures? Activision and Disney have no problems meeting demand for Skylanders and Infinity, respectively- what’s Nintendo’s excuse?
It was the port strike excuse, but that has been over for about two months now. Now they are silent, cause they have no excuse to use this time.
Believe me, I heard all about the port strike, and even then I was skeptical.
