Super Smash Con Is Now Open For Registration

Super Smash Con is a huge all-ages convention held this year in Chantilly, Virginia to “celebrate the games we loved as kids– and still love as adults!” From August 6-9th, the event will feature a full Super Smash Bros. tournament and lots more entertainment, like a live performance of gaming music from an orchestra and real life Super Smash Bros. You can also take a look through gaming history, arcade games, free play zones and quick play tournaments.

And, the event is now open for registration! For the whole weekend (4 days) the registration costs $65, and then entering one of the 4 Smash tournaments will cost $10 per game. Day passes range from $21 to $29, but you won’t be able to compete in the main tournament events, where there is more than $30,000 to win in prizes. So, who’s going to go to Super Smash Con?

Super Smash Con is the ultimate fan event to celebrate the video games we loved as kids – and still love as adults! This is the first event to feature a full sized Super Smash Bros tournament alongside an all-ages convention, complete with exhibitors, vendors, competitions, music, and so much more. Whether you’re a battle hardened Smasher or a casual Bro; a gamer for life or brand new to the scene, a die-hard fan or just feeling nostalgic, Super Smash Con is just what you’ve been looking for!

  1. Super Smash Bros 64 community: Good
    Smash Melee community: Snobs
    Smash Brawl community: Puke worthy

  2. Those prices are pure ASS! Glad it’s not something I care about, or could have attended.

  3. Yoooo why is it 10 a game?? Why am I even paying 65 dollars to get in? What if I’m good and it’s a big tournament that could be so expensive. No prize money for the winner?

  4. jackyanne, maybe add an edit that states there are more than $30,000 in prizes available for the tournaments?

    1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

      >>>That’s why you have the choice of NOT going, nobody is forcing anyone and nobody can get everything they went no matter how little or how much power or resources they’ve got>>>

  5. I would enter but then I would take every prize and nobody would like that so yea gta think about everyone else and not be selfish lol =p

        1. Hold up, are we talking about melee or Smash 4, because I thought there were tournaments for both.

  6. A friend of mine is damn near unstoppable with the Zelda/Sheik character, but thats for the Gamecube version. Now that they’re split characters it wouldn’t be to good for him.
