Take A Look At This Splatoon Manga Being Released Next Month

A fan made Splatoon manga is being featured in the June issue of CoraCora Comic in Japan. Twitter users, hinodeya3 and DynastyKing96, tweeted these pictures ahead of the issue’s release. So far it looks to only be a one-off in celebration of the release of Splatoon on the Wii U, but it would be cool to have a more permanent series. What do you think of the manga?

  1. Why are they marketing their Splatoon game so well?

Nintendo… YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS TYPE OF MARKETING WITH THE WII U YEARS AGO!

    1. THIS. I wish they would advertised games like Bayonetta 2, The Wonderful 101, Devils Third, Xenoblade and other titles like they are doing with Splatoon. Sales could have been much better if people knew what the WiiU is and awesome games it has

      1. Its late for nintendo. They learned but too late. Does it means that the wiiu is doomed? DEFINITELY NOT but it DOES mean that it will have a short life period (5 years) similar to that of the gamecube. Is that a bad thing? NO! but it makes for nintendo more dificult to continue selling consoles… If you paid 500$ for 10 years of gaming looks more profitable than to spent 250/300$ each five years.

        1. SNES and N64 were also 5 year consoles. Only NES and Wii had 6 year lifespans. So Wii U at 5 years is actually about average for Nintendo Consoles.

      2. Seriously, and ALL those games you mentioned deserved FAR more marketing than splatoon. Those could have been possible game changers. Splatoon may be fun, but it’s not a game changer and I honestly am having trouble seeing the lasting appeal for it. It certainly won’t be the next mario kart like nintendo expects. Maybe I will be wrong, but I just don’t see it.

        1. Maybe, but I don’t see how those other games he mentioned would have anymore lasting appeal than Splatoon. Splatoon you can play anytime and have a comepletely different experience. Once you beat Wonderful 101, that’s kind of… it? Not that it isn’t a fantastic game, but it most certainly does NOT have more lasting appeal than Splatoon will.

  2. The fact this game has a manga is why I just can’t get into anime or manga or take them serious. There’s an anime or manga for every little thing, and they all have weird little talking animals characters or girls in short skirts and big tits and stuff like that. It’s like the weirder and more obscure you make it the more people watch. I know there are more serious ones but I just can’t even hop into another anime any more. I love dbz, and ranma 1/2, which both have their share of boobs and such but at least it’s not the focus. I tried getting into one piece but it’s just too much of the same.

    1. 1. Shut up kid and stop complaining there are all kinds of genres and mixed genres animes lol
      2. You watch what you like and if you don’t like a genre then stay away from it

      1. You’re name is eminem123 so that tells me you’re the actual kid, and have terrible taste. If you don’t like my opinion, don’t comment. And if you read the full comment which is probably too much for your little teeanage brain, you’d have seen that I said I was aware there were more serious animes and mangas, I just wasn’t interested after so many of the others. As I said anyway, there are two I like, maybe even a few others I have forgotten about. Why am I even bothering with some git who listens to eminem. Eminem turned out to be wrong as hell. He claimed nobody listens to techno yet electronic music has completely taken over and nobody listens to eminem anymore.

        1. I respect your options but he does have a point. there are lots and lots more than what you can see.

I for one am interested in this. I just hope that its not too much of the cheesy clushay kid show like vanguard, yugioh, bay blade, and others like them.

          1. Yea I know there are more, I said that twice lol. There are more serious ones it’s just I’ve had so much of the cheesy ones and short skirt ones everywhere that I just don’t even care anymore. I’ve been told I should watch Berserker though, I may check it out eventually. Evangelion is one I’ve always kinda missed out on watching, and there are a few others I have wanted to see but I’m in no rush. Animatrix (I think it’s considered an anime) is of course quite awesome. Oh and Ghost in a shell I started watching but had to stop lol was a little too familiar for me, and kinda gave me some flashbacks of acid. Eventually I will watch it again but I wasn’t really in the proper place to watch it.

              1. I remember trigun, and cowboy beebop, I didn’t like beebop much but maybe now I would being much older. Didn’t ever give trigun a try, oh tenshi muyo I watched a little of. I think there a few others I have seen but don’t remember. I may check out your other suggestions.

                1. Vash the Stampede, what a character though, expert gunman humanoid, and tries to hide the fact that he is the typhoon. “Vash the stampede, the humanoid typhoon, bounty of 60 million double dollars”.

  4. Well, Shigeru Miyamoto was originally going to be a manga artist before getting into video games and being who he is today. And may I remind you all that the long running Super Mario-kun manga exists.

  5. Wait, I’m having trouble trying to figure out how they will distinguish the ink colors in the manga. Are they going to spray grey ink on one side then a darker grey on the other? :p

  6. Lol, some people here are treating this as if it were official.

    First phrase on the article:
“A fan made Splatoon manga is being featured in the June issue of CoraCora Comic in Japan.”

You didn’t even read the second word of the thing.
