Here’s The Splatoon Extended Cut Video

If you’re a fan of the Splatoon song that Nintendo of America introduced in one of their trailers for the game, then you will be pleased to know that the company has released an extended version for you to get up and sing along to. The cheesy song is accompanied by plenty of fast paced multiplayer gameplay, so it’s well worth a watch.

  1. After playing the global testfire, and now this video, im really hyped for this Friday. Spaspaspaspaspaspaspa splatoon!!! Cant rember the last game I was so excited for.

    1. Fuck this music is horrible, and the graphics hurt my eyes. Looks just as bad as de blob, which is a non-HD game! Too many of my senses are being traumatized to even consider the gameplay. Fucking brainwashed nintendrones. If this game was released on xbox1 or ps4 you would say it looks like shit and plays like shit.

I love this song!!! I also love the game. Global Testfire really sold me… well, I was already planning on buying it, but after finally being able to play it today, I am more excited than ever.

  3. I’m a bit disappointed I couldn’t get into the testfire today. But I’m glad they apparently fixed it. Can’t wait til Friday. The servers better function correctly…

And, I might try finding some amiibo. Gamestop screwed me over with my preorders so… that’s fun… I then cancelled all my gamestop preorders entirely. Never buying there again. I did manage to get an inkling girl preordered somewhere else though. Sigh.

I ended up getting the splatoon amiibo trio preordered at Wal-Mart (begrudgingly of course, because Wal-Mart is an awful store). They should be mailed to me within a couple days of me buying the game itself.

I just checked Wal-Mart.com and Amazon U.S’ website. They were both either sold out or had double the price for purchase. :/ Sorry to hear you couldn’t buy the pack. Wish I knew a place where you could get it for the recommended retail value.

I actually ended up buying from Wal-Mart, because Amazon was taking too long to put theirs up for sale. I wanted to get my purchase in as soon as possible so I wouldn’t miss out. I want that special alien body armor-looking suit that comes with the Green Squid amiibo!!!

      1. Yeah, I really wanted the 3 pack because of the Squid amiibo. The special equipment seems pretty cool. I do have a friend who managed to get the 3 pack though, so if I don’t find a pack soon I’ll probably just borrow his to get the bonus stuff haha. Still, the amiibo craze and shortage is pretty damn annoying at this point.

Got screwed out of my Ness preorder which pisses me off the most. :/

Same here. Depends on where you are from. I’m from the North-Eastern part of the U.S, so we are taught to speak very proper (American) English in our school systems. The “accent” we have in my state is “general English,” which is basically how it is supposed to be spoken. All other accents are variations of the spoken language.

So it is safe to say that we are probably pronouncing it the way it should be pronounced regardless of how the developers intended it to.

      1. I’ve lived in San Diego, CA my entire life. I just thought of it as platoon but with an S in front.

New Hampshire is. Not Mass (Boston), not Maine, not New York. New Hampshire doesn’t have the same accents as those other states who are known for having incredibly noticeable (sometimes hard to understand) accents.

If you hear a weird accent in New Hampshire, then the person with the accent did not grow up in the state in the school system, or grew up in a small town that was settled by people from Massachusetts or Maine (which would probably be in the Northern part of New Hampshire). The Southern part of New Hampshire is the most populated and where most people would have grown up through the school system that teaches General English.

Same goes for Vermont. Most Vermonters have the same accent as New Hampshirites. These states lost their Boston influenced accents LONG ago, like decades ago.

Connecticut is also more enutral in their accents, but are smack dab in the middle of two accent heavy states and so many people do pick up a few things, like dropped R’s, dropped H’s in front of words, etc. For the most part they have a general accent, especially the younger generations.

Actually, most states in the country are losing their accent over time due to the influence of North/North-Eastern media and schooling. New England is on it’s way faster than most other parts of the country. Only other “region” with a more neutral or “specific” accent is the Mid-West.

            1. Are you fuckin retarded? The proper way to speak English is the British way you twat. In reality, there is no “correct” way to speak a language. That’s just you being a bigot cause you are an ethnocentric bitch who doesn’t respect other cultures. Sounds like you’ve been brainwashed pretty hardcore lol. P.S. You can’t lose an accent, only develop a new one. Everybody has an accent, including you, you egocentric duck fucker.

I hope it can be used as background music in the game! I would love to listen to it while I’m playing Turf Wars!

      Splat-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat Splatoon!!!

With the dropped s, it makes it a lot easier. I honestly thought that whoever was singing the song dropped the s after the initial “splat,” because adding it in is terribly difficult.

It could also be a recording enhanced by a computer system though, which would mean that the singer doesn’t actually sing it and it’s just a rapidly repeated word by a computer system.

  4. Why are Nintendo Fans damage controlling for Nintendo about the song?
    It’s a horrible song…

Still I can’t wait to get the game on Friday.

      1. A roundabout way of stealth insulting to the Regular Adventure Pony generation… sweet! Keep on truckin’ son.

    1. You mean new very fun and great game that seems it will be very popular confirms the death of Nintendo!? :)
