Japan: Wii U Sells 7K, Nintendo 3DS Sells 15K

The latest sales are in from Japan, courtesy of Media Create, and things have shifted slightly from last week. Not a hugely exciting week. Witcher 3 for the PlayStation 4 take the top spot, debuting with 67,000 sales and knocking Final Fantasy X way off the top spot. The top Nintendo title is still Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition at number 3, but decreasing in sales from last week. Hardware sales are pretty similar, give or take 1,000 units for some. Nintendo still have the most titles in the charts, but are more challenged by the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4 this week. Take a look at the charts for yourself:

  1. Mario kart 8 is has been out for 1 year now and it’s selling better then FF15 and it just came out like a month or two ago. That speaks volumes.

    1. I forgot to had the fact that the Wii U is also not selling as well as the XBONE or the PS4, taut speaks more volumes.

        1. Sorry I made a slight mistake, it was FF10 not 15 and it’s only been out since the 12th of this month so yea, my point still stands.

      1. That would suck, I want it on the NX, but steering wheel functionality would be cool. I think MK9 will be on new 3ds, and MK10 will be on NX. That seems to follow the pattern Nintendo has been having for Mario Kart.

  2. I love how both Toad and Mario look bored and depressed by Princess being kidnapped for the 80th time

  3. Mario Kart 8 is absolutely dominating. I expect an article next week, stating that Mario Kart 8 has surpassed 1 Million units in Japan.
Let’s also have a round of applause for the Xbox One, for selling Double the units this time around…
Also, Wii U at 7K, it’s moving up in the world. Gone are the days of 6K, now it’s all about that 7K…XD

  4. “Mario! Princess Peach has been stolen away by Bowser and his baddies! And no one knows because they aren’t buying our consoles!!!”
Lol Toad looks like he’s gonna fall asleep.

  5. I don’t get why so many people buy (and love) the 3DS? I’ve been so burned out on it that I never even touch it anymore.

  6. I am glad anew amazing western rpg game like witcher 3 is selling reallywell in Japan. It deserves to be on the first spot.
