      1. It’s an interesting gameplay mechanic, but a very creative one. And with a good story and good bosses and enemies, it makes for a truly wonderful game.

  1. Well am happy the game doing so good that it’s selling out I really didn’t think that was possible an people don’t have to wait that long for a restock but they shouldn’t Nintendo home base is in Japan

    1. Maybe but that’s probably because they already sold a shitload of ’em. Nintendo is putting a lot of effort into Splatoon. It’s a big deal for them this year. I’m sure they had a reasonnable amount but this took them by surprise. Can only be a good thing.

    1. Pretty much. It’s amazing whet they’ve done to promote a new IP.
Even so, I still think the game won’t move a lot of systems. I can see every Wii U owner getting a copy but… Would someone who didn’t buy the console before already buy one because of Splatoon?

      1. Yeah I think that too. It’s just for people who already have the console. I’m not saying it won’t sell a couple Wii U’s but Splatoon is not a system seller like Mario Kart 8 or Smash.

    1. Heck yeah! I’ll be getting my American copy today. Luckily I live in a small enough town that it won’t sell out at the Gamestop.

      6. if he’s donko, the irony is: his hypocritical ass wanted views and likes from the people he loves to talk shit, he has fallen low, very, very low. if he’s not donko, i’ll retire my words.
does stoczero have the same channel?, i mean, the one where he uploaded the videos about kevin2097, donko and skagg the sjw?

  2. So it already sold 80% of it’s 140K shipment in Japan so day one it sold 112K dam that’s great an that’s only in Japan where they don’t care much for shooting game a BIG step in the right direction for Nintendo if this game keep doing like this Nintendo will try to take more risk with making new stuff an when Nintendo take risk it pays off most of the time

  3. Also, GAME told me today that Nintendo is delaying the orders of Inkling Boy and Girl until next month due to the theft of the lorry filled with Amiibos and Splatoon Squid Inkling Amiibos.

Thankfully, I got my lil squid inkling and game today for £39 on Amazon, they’ve now pushed the price up to £59.99…

  5. I don’t trust Nintendo when they promise more stock. I’m STILL waiting to see more of the older amiibo get restocked. Such as Marth, Villager etc.

  6. This isn’t impressive unless we know how many copies have already sold out – they could easily have made a limited number and then when they sell out it creates the perception that there’s a huge demand for it (like what they did for Amiibos…).

    1. Amiibos are one thing but games are another most shipments are around 100,000 copies of the game do to japans install base.

      1. True – but since games are exponentially more expensive to make than amiibos, you also need to sell a lot more copies of the game for it to be successful. 100k for Japan is somewhat impressive these days, but it’ll be the rest of the markets that I think will really decide its success.

  7. I can confirm that the Splatoon game is sold out in Costa Rica, went to every store and they were sold out today into the afternoon even when today was the release day here. They only had preorders, at least They had Ike and Marth amiibo restocks so I got those and also I was able to get my 3-pack Splatoon amiibo preorder.
