An update on 14th June brings new content to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, including Lucas from Mother 3 as a playable character, a new Wii U Miiverse stage and Mii Fighter costumes inspired by Splatoon.
To celebrate this update, Masahiro Sakurai will host a special video presentation at 15:40 BST, 7:40 am PT, on 14th June that outlines the details.
To tune in and see what the presentation holds in store, check out Twitch or Nintendo of Europe’s E3 2015 website, where the broadcast will be streamed.

What this obviously entails is information on another DLC character (Ryu/Roy), and an update on the tournament mode promised before, on top of a summary of the content already arriving. The real question is why the hell Nintendo wouldn’t just add this to their E3 stream. If you have so much “spare” content, wouldn’t you just put it into the actual presentation so it seems all that much more impressive? Sure, a new Chibi Robo and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game isn’t the most exciting news, but anything that makes the list longer and lets people know you’re producing all this content for the coming year would obviously look good. Ryu coming to Smash Bros is, also, something that is clearly HUGE news, considering how iconic the Street Fighter franchise is… I don’t really get it.
Remember that It’s the same day as the Nintendo World Tournament, and Ryu is from a game normally played at tournaments.
I can’t wait until Ryu is confirmed because it will be interesting to see the Ace Attorney fans throw a tantrum about how Phoenix is more “deserving” than a huge gaming icon like him.
