Here’s Some Off-Screen Yooka-Laylee Footage From E3

One of the most anticipated third-party titles for Wii U is Playtonic’s fabulous 3D platformer Yooka- Laylee. We haven’t really seen too much gameplay of the colourful platformer so it’s nice to have the opportunity to check out six minutes of precise platforming gameplay from an alpha build of the game. The footage comes courtesy of GameXplain direct from this week’s E3 2015 event in Los Angeles. It certainly looks as though it is shaping up the be something special.

  1. Oh man, I can’t wait to get my hands on that game. “You mean you haven’t played it yet? We can play it on my new PC. Or how about Xbot? Maybe Wii U?” Jokes aside, this game looks great and if this is what they get done in 3 months, this game is gonna take the platforming fanbase by storm!

    1. Actually I have some bad news… The expected delivery for the game (for backers of the project as it says on their website) is October 2016. I’m sure they’re giving a little bit (maybe a lot) of room for making sure everything is right, but don’t get your hopes up thinking this will be out soon… And about the “getting our hands on” this game… Well, unless you pledged a lot of money, you’ll probably only be getting a digital edition. I don’t know whether they’re releasing a physical copy of the game to the general public. But don’t despair! It shall be a great game anyway!

  2. All their gameplay just makes me look around and wonder, “Can I get over there when I play it?” This is looking great so far. I hope they add a button to quickly bring the camera behind your character. It didn’t look like they had that yet.

  3. It really does look like a true spiritual successor to Banjo Kazooie, hell even the music sounds like something from the opening level of Banjo.

  4. Reality is Dolphin Revolutionized Cafe NX

These developers know what fans want, i wish Playtonic makes it big and they will restore faith in gaming bringing the N64 era Rare quality games back.
