Super Mario Maker Will Retain The Physics Of Each Separate Mario Game

Super Mario Maker is truly shaping up to be something special for Nintendo fans. We saw during the Treehouse events that Nintendo has spent a lot of time with the game to make it something well worth purchasing. We have also found out that Super Mario Maker will retain the physics of each separate Mario game. This means that Super Mario Bros plays and feels like Super Mario Bros, Super Mario World feels and plays like Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros U feels and plays like New Super Mario Bros U. Sounds like a neat thing to me.

Thanks, Killbill

    1. I prefer the physics of my foot going in your ASS “As Red would say”
If you prefer call of duty to Mario, you’re not a real fucking gamer.

      1. Hey, hey, hey, telling people they’re not ”gamers” because they prefer different games than you is just giving more ammo to feminazis.

  1. I thought this was obvious from the footage, but I guess we didn’t really have official confirmation until now. It would be cool if you could swap the style of the game during the level so that you can design it with the change of physics and momentum in mind (i.e., a section needs wall-jumping, the next can’t be beaten without SMB’s jumping momentum, etc.)

  2. Yeah, but concerning SMB, will it have the fluid, quick controls of the original, or the clunky, unengaging physics of the later re-releases?

    1. Tell me you’re joking! SMB1 the original is the most clunky one, while the DX version or the all stars one are much smoother.

      1. I think you’re the first person I’ve ever heard say they like the physics of all-stars mario bros over the original. I hate how slippery everything is in that version.

  3. I swear, I spent most of my gaming life just wishing I could speed up time for release dates. If I had that ability, my life would go by SOOOOO fast.

  4. I hope that Nintendo creates a Super Mario Maker 2 that includes Super Mario Bros. 2 USA, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island (this is technically a Super Mario game, look at the title), New Super Mario Bros. (DS), and New Super Luigi U. I think this Super Mario Maker Version would be superior to the first one.

  5. I figured we already knew this, but a lot of people still weren’t sure, so it’s good that they’ve come out and confirmed it to be sure.

Also: GOOD. I probably wouldn’t have bought the game if they didn’t do this.
