Fire Emblem Fates Will Have 5v5 Online Multiplayer

When people say “Fire Emblem,” what comes to mind is typically a dynamic RPG, single-player experience. This is why it came as a pretty hefty surprise when Japanese players found an online mode in Fire Emblem Fates (released today in Japan as Fire Emblem If).

The online mode utilizes a 5-on-5 deathmatch battle, with either local friends with the game or random or friend-based online play. The 5 characters chosen are all chosen from units in one of your save files. Random battles can be played with standard rules or with item limitations. Additionally, the fog of war effect is disabled during the battles.

Fire Emblem Fates is an upcoming Nintendo 3DS exclusive, releasing in North America and Europe in 2016.

        >>>I said sometimes I don’t, specially not if a game doesn’t appeal to me right away, this is not the same as Amiibo crap>>>

Right…. you didn’t say all that shit last time. But oh well, I’m not in the mood to fuck with you right now.

            >>>Here is a direct quote of what I said that time>>>

“You bought Amiibos, I didn’t, you bought Smash DLC and I’m sure you thought it was a bit overpriced, I didn’t, you probably buy all DLC for the games you like the minute they put it on the eShop, I don’t, you buy all games when they release, I sometimes do, I sometimes don’t, so you see, I’m not the one supporting everything the second they put it out there”

            >>>Don’t try me boy, you’ll end up crying again>>>

              1. How are you making the robot troll look like the smart one in this conversation?

You’re not a boss ass bitch, you’re just a bitch. Overcompensation and inferiority radiating from every post.

                  1. I know that’s what you want everyone to think, but it’s pretty apparent to anyone with half a brain that the opposite is true.

You bitches would try to talk some shit while I’m. And get over yourself. Who the fuck says faggot anymore? Oh I’m totally fucking melting from a bitch comment like that. Go paint yourself some real fucking content.

  1. I don’t get it. FE games are well known for their solid storyline-centred, single player campaign. Why Nintendo included online multiplayer in FE Fates and excluded in the next Star Fox game is something that only Nintendo’s logic is able to explain.

    1. It’s like Christmas bro! We’re getting three versions and small multiplayer battles and prolly gobs of dlc (including the third version). Heaven!

      1. I know, right? Awakening had lots of very expensive DLC, and I did not see almost anyone complaining about that.

Although I loved Awakening, I completely ignored the DLC.

  2. I just wet myself!!!! I can’t f bombing wait!!! This is the anticipation I’ve missed about a game for sooooooo long. Ok well excluding Mario kart 8 and Smash…but seriously I am in love. This is Day One for me too! Both versions!!! And only amiibo I need will be Roy!!! Hell to the f bombing yeah guys!!!

    1. I’ve also called GameStop every other day checking to see if we can reserve this yet…sadly we cannot…but one day my friends one day!!!! And you better friggin reserve it or you’ll be looking for it like we had to Awakening!

      1. I’m gonna hold out on my preorder for an exclusive edition. Bloody loved Fire Emblem since I was a wee lad, and still do. I hope it comes in a nice bundle with the new 3ds actually- I still haven’t made the upgrade :O
